A Scouser can't help being a Scouser. An Asian can't help being an Asian.
What's the difference?
A woman can't help being a woman, a homosexual can't help being a homosexual - see where we are going with this?

There is no difference of Anti-Scouse abuse to any other kind of abuse, such as sexism, homophobia or secterianism - because Scousers aren't a ethnicity - the usual comparison of anti-scouse barbs to racism is redundant, or as redundant as anti-scouse barbs are to sexism or homophobia or sectarianism.
Now, I open this question to
any scouser reading this.
If someone from St Helens or Runcorn stated in a hurt voice that you calling them a wool is 'like racism against Asians' what would you say to them?
You would call them a 'soft get wool' that's what you would call them.
Because that's just good old, light hearted joshing, but when scousers get return fire, it's comparable to racism

Some crap banter about being Asian seems about the same as some crap banter about being from St Helens.
I can't stand any of that garbage.

All right, what about some crap banter about being from Liverpool?

The same thing.
You find out where someone is from, their race and their sexuality and you tell some generic jokes referring to those things.
All very crap.

No, it's not generic, the Scouse generally get picked on because of their disproportionate love of their nans.

I never heard any of the 'scouters playing victim cards' stuff before Hillsborough. Very odd the way some people are about a genuine tragedy like that. Had the same thing happened to Aston Villa, or Spurs, or Newcastle I'm sure we'd hear the same cranks talking about grief merchant brummies, cockneys, geordies.

That's not true, is it? Tyson Fury comes for as much abuse and he isn't a scouser, I don't think that has any bearing on it at all to be honest.
Scousers aren't a race by the way, any abuse towards Liverpudlians cannot be compared to racist abuse towards Asians.
Neither are Muslims but it's still wrong to abuse them.
And yes there is an anti-Liverpool feeling on this board.

Tyson Fury and Robin Deakin scousers?
They probably get as much abuse Bellew. And there are a lot of scouse boxers who get no abuse at all.
Again - if a wool said to some piss taking scouser 'it's like racism' because you're calling us woolybacks, what would the scouser say?
It would never be 'Oh sorry I hurt your feelings...'

I don't think anyone has a problem with standard jokes about scousers, cockneys and so on.
But I think people from Liverpool understandably have an issue with accusations of all scousers being grief-merchant professional victims, which seems to stem entirely from the Hillsborough disaster and subsequent campaign for justice.

Daffy Duck and Wilder are both obviously more deluded, or at least act like they think they are, both of them their talks don't make sense, unlike Bellew his btw.
