As mentioned earlier in the thread by Boxing Prospect, Sung Kil Moon did much better as a super flyweight champion after getting schooled and shut out by Khaokor Galaxy to lose his bantamweight title.
Also Santos Laciar lost a high profile flyweight or two such as Charlie Magri, then dropped down to become one of the outstanding light flyweight champions and probably one of the top 10 fighters ever from Argentina.
Laciar was a fly champ that went up to 115.

I did as much research on him as I could but that was over 30 years ago in the pre internet days. It was also when he was the UK's only Heavyweight champion but I couldn't find anything agreeing on his age. There were many more saying a young kid than an 11 year old though.

Roberto Duran fought at Jnr Welter for a few fights before and after his defeat to Esteban deJesus, in which both men weighed in at 138lbs. He rematched him twice at 135lbs and KO'd him. I know it's tenuous
Off topic but this is more often successfully done in MMA.

Didn't Tony Oakey box at heavyweight as an amateur? Glen McCrory also boxed at heavyweight for a while.

His house is a thatched terraced cottage, pretty much untouched. A mate of mine owns the house FItz was born in.
The town itself is a Cornish market town, mixture of retaining original features along with garish modern crap

You can find Fitz and his family on the 1871 UK census aged 8 years so definitely didn't leave as a baby.

Local rumour is that he was actually born in a house 100 yards away but that was the house that the family owned and which he lived in. I have lived in Helston since I was 14 (1988) and was already a hardcore boxing fan ordering Ring, Boxing News, World Boxing and Boxing 88 so was thrilled when my parents said we were moving from London to Helston. I knew the towns name and association as soon as they said it. I do find it cool that this little town produced him

Growing up I loved Bert Sugar's Boxing Illustrated and would devour the stories on the old time fighters. Wild and colourful men of steel!

I am surprised at how little are on the list. Not many seem to go down in weight do they.
Begs the question of whether it really works for people. the answer must be find the weight that's right for you and do that.
