Do you watch the UFC? They have plenty of controversies on stoppages and fouls.

because none of them ended the fight.
Yeah because Ward didn't ham it up and keep stopping fighting.
Ward seems to be the superior nut puncher. He has that concussive power on those shots :OhYes:

How anyone can defend that stoppage is totally beyond my understanding.

You're crazy. I watch UFC religiously and from top to bottom, it's run with way more integrity than Boxing has. It's not even close. The officiating is way more difficult than Boxing is the ref is NEVER the story after a big UFC fight. All fouls are called the same way unlike Boxing where it varies from ref to ref what is called and what is not. Sure, i've seen some early stoppages in UFC fights but nothing ridiculous like Boxing. Judges between the two are not even close. I honestly have never seen a horrible decision in UFC that reeked of corruption. It's nothing like Boxing. Fact.

I think it was premature, but I can't blame the ref, and I don't really care because he'd lost already. If you want to go out like a champion then fight like it. If you're acting like someone there to take a beating. Complaining to the ref and showing little fight, then I can't blame the ref for treating you like one and stopping the fight a bit prematurely when you've stopped throwing punches and are bent over not defending yourself properly.

..Kovalev having been hit 3 times below belt in the last round was losing this round but not the fight..whatever could/would have happened your guess is as good as mine and is irrelevant, what we have actually seen and know for a FACT is that the stoppage itself was outrageous, period..

Krushedner is to blame for the stoppage. He repeatedly stopped fighting when legally hit to the body, acting like an Italian midfielder attempting to draw a foul by acting as though he has been shot.

Krushedner landed multiple low blows in the eighth. One of those was a full blown shot directly to SOGgy's crotch. The difference is that SOGgy did not even flinch and walked forward.

Krushedner made his own grave.

..not a bad article, the author was at least trying to analize the fight as opposed to a lot of nonsense above and elsewhere:

Did Krushedner land a direct lefthook to SOGgy's crotch in the eighth round? How did SOGgy respond to that direct nut shot?

That's right, instead of acting as though he had been shot, like Krushedner did repeatedly, SOGgy walked Krushedner down and made him quit.

Resume squealing.

I can't say I'm surprised that you don't know what you're watching. There is a controversy most every card, Dana White despises the officiating and the rules. They use the same judges as Boxing. The sport is much better run, you're right about that.

Not to mention that Kovalev was landing punches to the back of Wards head in every single round and was only warned about it twice that i could see.

And if we are being truthful here, most low blows never hurt these boxers at all. When was the last time you saw a boxer take the full 5 minutes to recover? To most boxers it's a matter of disrespect like baseball pitchers backing a hitter off the plate with chin music. I've never seen a fighter not be able to fight on after a low blow. They have a huge cup for godsake, how much could it really hurt?
