There were signs in round 4 that Evans might land something. I didn't give him the 4th, thought it was evenskanksta wrote:Skeete isn't ?Neil Gee wrote:Tend to agree, Evans looks limited against Skeete, but he's not going anywhere.skanksta wrote:Looks like another dull Skeete UD early on.

It's not Bradley's fault - he's just made for dull points wins.
Anyone wanna play Ritchie Woodhall bingo ?
We've already had 'needs to quicken his feet a little bit' at twice, so it's going to be "easier said than done of course" for house.

Re: Round-By-Round - Gary Corcoran vs. Larry Ekundayo - July 8th 2017
Evans had some of his better success of the fight in the 4th round, but it still wasn't enough. Skeete back in total control in the 5th and he continues shutting down Evans' attempts at offense.
5-0 Skeete
5-0 Skeete
Re: Round-By-Round - Gary Corcoran vs. Larry Ekundayo - July 8th 2017
Skeete back in control in r5 but the pressure from Evans is relentless, I wonder if Skeete could tire under this?
Re: Round-By-Round - Gary Corcoran vs. Larry Ekundayo - July 8th 2017
Feels like the final scorecard of this one is obvious. Doesn't look like Evans is gonna be stopped, and it also doesn't look like he can win a round.
6-0 Skeete

Relentless my ass. Evans is just following him around getting jabbed.Neil Gee wrote:Skeete back in control in r5 but the pressure from Evans is relentless, I wonder if Skeete could tire under this?

I thought you were saying Skeete isn't going anywhere (further than British title level).
I can't see it happening but, I'd love to see Bradley bore the pants off Crawford, Spence, Thurman et al !

That was a bad round from Evans. He aint gonna wear BS down if he doesn't throwgilgamesh wrote:Relentless my ass. Evans is just following him around getting jabbed.Neil Gee wrote:Skeete back in control in r5 but the pressure from Evans is relentless, I wonder if Skeete could tire under this?

He ain't gonna win a round I don't figure. Just not good enough. Maybe if he were willing to take chances and go in with abandon he might take a round, but being cautious like this he might as well just quit now because he can't win.Neil Gee wrote:That was a bad round from Evans. Awful fight this.
Re: Round-By-Round - Gary Corcoran vs. Larry Ekundayo - July 8th 2017
Skeete's already beaten the European champion, Sam Eggington, and I think he'd win any rematch too, so he's above British level for certain.skanksta wrote:Agree DE isn't going anywhere.Neil Gee wrote:There were signs in round 4 that Evans might land something. I do agree there would be a kind of perverse pleasure in watching Skeete do this at world level.
Re: Round-By-Round - Gary Corcoran vs. Larry Ekundayo - July 8th 2017
I missed the 7th round, but given the pattern of the fight and the way the 8th round continued the same as the first 6 had I think it's a safe bet that Skeete remained in control in the 7th.
8-0 Skeete
8-0 Skeete
Re: Round-By-Round - Gary Corcoran vs. Larry Ekundayo - July 8th 2017
In terms of excitement Bradley Skeete makes Floyd Mayweather look like Arturo Gatti.
Re: Round-By-Round - Gary Corcoran vs. Larry Ekundayo - July 8th 2017
Yes he did. I thought Evans got a share of the fourth but looks like Skeete was just taking a breather. The longer the fight goes the more the difference in class is showing.gilgamesh wrote:I missed the 7th round, but given the pattern of the fight and the way the 8th round continued the same as the first 6 had I think it's a safe bet that Skeete remained in control in the 7th.

you missed Skeete taking made risks and taking one to give one - 2 knockdowns for Skeete, one for Evans ?!

I'd be fine with never seeing either of these two fighters again.
Re: Round-By-Round - Gary Corcoran vs. Larry Ekundayo - July 8th 2017
Still 2 more rounds to go, but I've seen this movie before. 12-0 Skeete is gonna be the final scorecard

Did i hear someone say in Skettes corner I Know its sore? has he broke his hand?
Re: Round-By-Round - Gary Corcoran vs. Larry Ekundayo - July 8th 2017
Ritchie just said "quicken up the feet" for the 3rd time, but no "easier said than done of course"
So, excitement of this fight all over.
Let it stop

I'll be honest, I quit watching at the start of the 11th.
120-108 Skeete
Dale Evans couldn't win a round against Skeete if he fought 1000 of them.
