Carl Frampton v Andres Gutierrez
Re: Carl Frampton v Andres Gutierrez
Perhaps doing the weight was tough going and he passed out rather than simply slipped.
Re: Carl Frampton v Andres Gutierrez
Rubbish fight anyway.
Re: Carl Frampton v Andres Gutierrez
Bizzaire cancelation.
Re: Carl Frampton v Andres Gutierrez
The undercard was terrible - how do you determine how much refund you want to give or not enough notice to let folk seek refunds or if they wanted to attend or not.chrisnew86 wrote:Yes mate, the whole show is off, Which surprises me to be honest...GlobalBox wrote:Is the whole bill off does anyone know, surely they can't put the bill on now.
The undercard wasn't even small hall show acceptable.

Not just for the fans I'm talking about the fighters on the undercard as well, they have all trained for fights , Weighed in, have over heads/ need to get paid.
shit undercard or not, I'm sure a large percentage of the crowd isn't thinking like you and would just fancy a night out still or thats what I can gauge from 90% of the responses on Twitter
Re: Carl Frampton v Andres Gutierrez
Have a think about this. If you are fit and healthy and you slip in the shower, it can happen, and you're going down , what is the natural instinct? I would say that you automatically throw your hands out to the break the fall. You might be too late and possibly bang your head against the shower wall or door. But to fall flat out to the extent that you damage your nose, teeth and chin is unusual.
With some rudimentary knowledge of injuries I would say that the chin injury was caused by coming into contact with two parallel lines with a gap in between. So this would support crashing into the runners for a shower door for example. But to fall with that force and not being able to react to break the fall I find difficult to accept.

You mean fainting and then fallen. Yes very possible, and an explanation.

Perhaps he had trouble making the weight. Blood pressure dropped temporarily and went down before he could break his fall. Possible coz it happened to me many moons ago.

No prime-time fights for us tonight then
Still got the big bill later though
As for Gutierrez, if the shower had taps, hot shower with steam, tiles...might explain it a little...
Slipping and banging your noggin on the wall, teeth and chin on the taps

I tried it when I was 14.... almost got there but damn near put my back and neck out.... can you imagine the ambulance people coming round when you're in the bath, with one leg behind your head, your neck cricked in position at stomach level and a half limp dick 6 inches from your mouth?rpms wrote:Happens to the best of us.boxingknockout wrote:Boxerbeetle wrote:

My story would've been something like 'I was trying to touch my toes, and before I knew it I slipped and my cock fell into my mouth.... it's the truth. Honestly...'

Ouch, that looks a sore one alright.Nightmare Roy wrote:
But frankly I'm very surprised that Channel 5 didn't insist on putting a few quid for a replacement fighter???
They did with when Mick Hennessy had Tyson Fury fighting live on five. Twice they paid money to Martin Rogan to attend the event as a late stand-in just in case anything happened to Fury's opponents - first for Nicolai Firtha, then secondly for Neven Pajkic.

That cut is Fast Car's calling card. It's clearly H for Hearn.
He sabotaged the event with a quick shower-bath attack. He'll stop at nothing to get the Jackal onboard.

I do agree with Horse on this. Horse and I have disagreed over many things, but ever since this fight was first announced I was underwhelmed and disappointed.Horse wrote:Rubbish fight anyway.
I've heard that Frampton and Barry want to reschedule the fight as soon as possible, but in my opinion he should let it go and look toward the likes of Lee Selby (who is now free) and Oscar Valdez as his next opponent.
