Manny reportedly made $10m last fight, though the loss may've hurt his drawing power. I would've thought that him vs McG would still do pretty well, though obviously not Floyd-McG well.

Chavez Jr got at least 6 million as the B side to Alvarez. That PPV probably didn't sell 1.5 million at all. Cotto got 15 million as the A side against Canelo and the PPV didn't even sell a million.

And that has what to do with McGregor? The majority of his money comes from ppv buys.

Well, any McGregor UFC fight does over a million. So, like I said, no boxing fight is worth his time now. I certainly couldn't care less what would happen. MMA is the bigger sport, he's better at it, the UFC would have to let him box, just doesn't make sense or cents.
UFC fights sell more but their fighters don't get more to scale compared to boxing.
So what? McGregor isn't a boxer. He created the perfect storm and it's over.

What is McGregor going to make if he fights again in UFC? A million dollars or two? He could make five to ten million fighting Pacquiao or Cotto.

The UFC has him under contract. They won't ALLOW him to fight another Boxing match. They made the exception once because there was an absurd amount of money on the table. If he wants to try his hand in Boxing again when his UFC contract is up he'd be welcome to, but they won't allow it in the meantime.
There's no future for McGregor in Boxing. There's no fighter of note that he can beat.

I know that McGregor can't beat Pacquiao or Cotto, but I think people are curious to see how much he improves. Also, I think Pacquiao or Cotto could make more money fighting McGregor than anyone else. Bear in mind that MMA fans and his fans around the world would pay to watch it, as they did for his fight against Mayweather.

McGregor couldn't even beat Cotto's last victim Kamegai.

Y'all have the totally wrong demographic for these ppv buys. Not that it matters, he'll never box again.

I'm not so sure about that. I think it would go the distance.

I'd guess he will make 20-30 million for his next UFC fight.

What's it matter if it would go the distance or not? McGregor wouldn't be able to beat him.
I think Kamegai would probably break his spirit by just walking through all of his shots and attacking him. We already know McGregor gets tired. Kamegai doesn't, and Kamegai apparently can't be hurt either. Therefore he'd beat Conor.

I don't think he's made anything close to that for a UFC fight. Ronda Rousey made more per fight than the men when she was champion. Maybe now McGregor will get paid more in UFC, but how much more? The company that bought UFC for four billion dollars is still trying to get a return on their investment.

He was already making around 10 and he just delivered maybe the most successful ppv in history to the company. He wants a share of the company and he might get it. Either way there is no doubt he makes more money in MMA.

McGregor will improve and he still could make a lot of money in boxing. I don't think highly of Kamegai. I'm not sure if McGregor could beat him. It would depend on how much he improves.

They will get their return in pretty short order. The TV contract is about to be up, they'll get a nice chunk back there alone.

He made 3 million when he fought Diaz. I think he'll make more in boxing for at least one more fight. If he gets stopped again in boxing, then his earning potential decreases dramatically for boxing.

Dear god, 3 million was his reported purse. He makes much more on the ppv buys. His purse for Floyd would only be 30 million if that's all he made. The UFC is much smarter with their money. Trust me, he's looking at a minimum of 20 million for his UFC return.

The May-Mac fight taught McGregor valuable lessons... 1. Do roadwork... You need to cover 5 miles in 30 minutes without getting too winded and recovering your wind in 5 minutes at least... 2. You have to bring your guard in and correct your balance, feet, and stance...and your footwork... Right now your stance sucks -- and you've got your head in the air... 3. You've got to throw hard once in a while like you do in MMA... You've got punching power so why all the fluffy punches that don't do a damned thing??? Maybe he was weight drained and couldn't throw -- sure looked like it... I think Conor thought he was going to outbox Floyd and win a decision... With BOXING JUDGES??? Don't be insane.. They're not going to let you win a close fight.

I think he knew catching Floyd with a bomb was a long shot so he tried to outwork him.
