You know its bad when Matchroom fighter Bellew and former Ingle fighter Nelson both call him a quitter. Not Khans biggest fan but I 100% agree with his comments in the video.

Indeed. I haven't heard of many boxers going straight back into the gym to train the day after a world title fight, let alone after such a gruelling one.

Exactly - the broken bone story after Spence beat him up is complete BS. Kell turned his back on another man and quit like a dog. I would expect that from an imported Latvian bum brought over as tArget practise for a good prospect not a champion defending his belt especially on home soil.
This post is so ridiculous that it must be a troll post?

Can not find the article but there was a picture of him hitting the punch bag basically saying he will be back.

Brook went to hospital immediately after the bout. “They kept me in until about 3am. I had a CT scan on my eye and the eye is broken again, the same injury as the Golovkin one, so maybe surgery again,” the crestfallen Brook said yesterday.

“I’m devastated. I knew from round seven that the eye had gone and progressively as the rounds went on. I tried to get through the fight and it kept going double vision and then coming back into line.

Bloody hero.
End of.

The did he quit / didn't he quit has been discussed in depth before on here and I'm definitely on the side of those who say Brook showed enough courage in the fight not to be called a quitter. If memory serves I think he mentioned that in the aftermath of the GGG fight a surgeon told him that one more punch in the right spot could've knocked out his eyeball, so possessed of that knowledge it makes his decision to take a knee in the Spence fight wholly justifiable and in no way reflects poorly on his bravery

However that doesn't change the fact that Kell hasn't shown enough courage in his choice of fights pretty much throughout his career with one or two exceptions ie Porter and Spence. Maybe rio is embellishing his argument with some spurious claims but I think the general thrust of his argument is accurate.

I,ve got to admit , i sort of raised my eybrows at the broken socket claim , simply because it did'nt look swollen enough or bad enough ,, still we won't find out till he meets another top level opponent , which i don't think is on the horizon for a while

I would have liked to see him carry on in the spence fight, at the same time I think the quit stuff is getting a bit unfair. Some of the shit people write on his twitter page is beyond the pale. Sounds like a couple of knockover fights before he gets back in with somebody of any note, but I think he might find the supposed knockover's a little bit harder than he would like. He's often looked a bit underwhelming when he's not up for it. Been one of my favorite fighters, but cant help think he wasted the prime years with too many filler fights. Like a few have said, the ideal scenario is a cash out fight with khan.

Just before his scheduled IBF final eliminator, Brook was offered a short-notice fight with Bradley for poor money and giving away options. Brook won his eliminator and Bradley's fight didn't go ahead anyway.
You claimed "he turned down multiple world title fights". Please educate us.
He had plenty of notice but there 2nd part of what you said about money and options was correct if you class half a million dollors as a poor money. However look who Bradley fought after that (rios, pacman x2, marquez)...brook would have fought them guys in the top rank stable if he beat Bradley. He also turned down a world title fight at 154 agaonst k9 under warren and pulled out of the alexander fight twice, once because he would not make weight.
The Alexander pull-outs were injuries. He came down from middleweight to make weight 5 years later. You're talking nonsense.

I mean, if you have a broken eye socket and there is bone floating around near your eyeball and you can't see properly and run the very real risk of suffering blindness, your a quitter

He's obviously got very weedy eye sockets and needs to choose an opponent who won't hit him in the eye

Im inclined to agree, spence was working the body early, so brook slowing down may have been inevitable. Also spence broke his socket with a punch, so it's not like a clash of heads and it's completely unlucky. I do feel the injury accelerated the way the fight went second half though. Bottom line is it doesn't really matter spence was better on the night.

Just hope brook can get his career going for another shot at a title.

The 2 times he was really up against it where he needed to dig deep to find something he looked for a way out.
Brookup against it

Carson jones 1 - dug deep to grind out the win

Senchenko - got wobbled come back to stop the guy same round

Golovkin - fighting all the way, corner pulled him.

Spence - eventually beaten into submission after fracturing an eye socket second fight running

You're a hater rio. Hate posts aren't serious

But from Brooks point of view, where are the paydays at 154? He has headlined 2 ppvs in succession but isn't a PPV fighter in his own right, he needs a bit of a name and other than Cotto (who will probably be retired by the time Brook is ready to fight him) there isn't any at 154.
I'd say 154 is just as tough, if not tougher than 147 but with less marketable names and subsequently money. You have the likes of Andrade, Charlo, Lara, hurd, Lubin, etc.
There are good fighters at 154, but not as many as 147. I would keep clear of Lara as he has an ugly style that makes boxer-punchers like Brook look bad, but other than that I would say the other champions are winnable fights for Brook.

His title defences were a joke and he only fought spence because he was mandatory. Used to think he was britains best kept secret/talent but it was obviously to do more with the average opposition rather than how good Brook was. No intrest in seeing him again.
I think if he'd concentrated fully on his IBF title as opposed to calling out Khan, and blowing up to challenge Golovkin, things may have been a little different. Think he needed to have given Errol Spence his undivided attention the moment Spence arrived on the scene as mandatory. As opposed to facing him as last resort after disappointment of being unable to get a Khan fight and after being damaged by Golovkin.
