Joshua fight in front of Parker. He hasn't earned that fight yet.
Also it seems that Whyte is the new boogie man
If Eddie has been waving a lot of money around and approaches all if the top 15 HW's, and can't get him a fight
What does that say?
The B grade HW guys turning down millions, when they general get offered 6 figure fights!
Fair comments re: Parker. He really needs a tailor made opponent
he can look good against, someone who'll bring out the best in him, he's looked laboured and reticent in his last few outings.
Eddie will say that but who exactly has he asked and what sort of money has he offered? Dillian is a hard nights work for most HW's out there and it seems to be all about climbing those rankings with minimal damage these days so hardly surprising no-one is breaking down Hearn's door to get at him! High risk, low (ish) reward for a fight with Whyte.
Lucas Browne would at least provide action and an NZ -Aus rivalry.
Failing that a super fight with Conor Macgregor?

He has been offering 7 figures supposedly. Not quite as much as he did to Wilder but a lot more than they would normally get I'm sure

I dont know who is ducking Whyte but I know for a fact the Whyte is ducking Chisora, ducking a rematch for the fight I believe he lost. Parker would fight him as I already said but if he has an option to fight Bellew he would choose Bellew.

Browne needs 6 month advance notice to get his fat ass in shape. No one has time for that.
McGregor is so last season. Now its all about who will fight Rio Ferdinand.

Bellew would be ideal. I'm not convinced Bellew would be able to defeat a bona fide heavy hitter like Parker.
the Wbo has wild rankings which include the tiny Fujimoto and the two Chinese giants jun long zhang and zhilei zhang but do they command a big audience?
otherwise Parker has to crack uk or US
The UK is filling up with great potential fights and prospects atm...no surprise

If I was Whyte, I wouldn't want another helping of Del Boy!
And do the fans really want a second helping?
I think Eddie wants to move Whyte onwards and upwards. I'm starting the rumour that Whyte is the new boogieman

Good point. Rio would stop Parker IMO

Who is peacock????
A rugby league legend. He's about the same stage, can box, Great Britain, England, Leeds, Bradford. 39 years old, around 16stone. I've seen him train with Rhinos boss Brian McDermott. He is one hard man. I think he commentates on Sky super league. He's made a call out video today. He doesn't want money or titles, just to raise a lot for charity. No way will Rio take it. The Rugby league world would lap it up. Sky would. Rio would be knocked cold.

Hard men dont win fights in the ring, better boxers do. You cant possibly know which one of them is a better boxer. Ferdinand seems to be serious about becoming a pro, whereas the other guy is simply training for his pleasure. I think Rio will surpass him fairly quickly even if he is behind at the moment.

He's done a lot more than Rio and is a very good boxer. His coach for Leeds and best mate boxed as a marine and had one as a pro. They aren't new to this at all.

even without prior training and experience, compared to the average footballer the average League player is somewhat used to being punched in the face, very, very used to taking concussive blows, and imbued with the attitude and ability to take pain as a necessary by-product of their training and gameday experience. Footballers, on the other hand....
even without prior training, with the amount of time available to train for the mooted fight, neither would be skillful enough to prevail on skill alone. if they both approached a bout with equal training and experience, Rio would lose purely on the basis of his totally shitting it when he sees Peacock raging at him.
its a shame Peacock's 16st, Rio can (and probably should) pull the weightclass card.

If Parker fights in Japan NYE that would be great. I like fighters being active and it will be a huge deal over there.

It's a shame it's not a Union player or it'd be big news.

Dunno, maybe we could convince Sonny Bill Williams to put the gloves on again?
