Miller has a lot of people thinking he can become a serious challenger at HW.
Personally I have not seen it yet, but I'm prepared to watch and see how he goes.
Washington quit on him, I really hope Wach really brings it, so we can get a yardstick on where Miller is at.

Eddie did try to get that to happen, waved mega bucks about, and Miller turned it down in favour of Wach...
Which is probably a good decision. I'm not sure he is quite ready for it.
Are you sure it was mega-bucks? I'm assuming this was for Cardiff as support for Joshua v Pulev and he'd previously or latterly tried to match Whyte with the "Tattooed penis" Lucas Browne. Sorry Lucas but Dillian's description just cracks me up
Browne declined citing insufficient time to train and that the fight was worth more than Hearn was offering. The money part makes sense because a Joshua mandatory is going to sell out regardless, so it doesn't make sense to pay a good purse to Whyte and to Browne or to Miller when that is simply subtracting from the revenue pot and adding nothing to it.
Browne against Whyte is an excellent match and Miller against Whyte is an even more fascinating proposition. Now if this were a co-feature with the European title clash between Agit Kabayel and Dereck Chisora in Monte Carlo then throwing money at Miller would make a lot more sense but now of course he has a commitment to fight Mariusz Wach in Uniondale.
I bet we get Robert Helenius for Whyte. I'd much rather he fought Browne. C'mon Eddie - stick your hand in your pocket!

Me personally I am not impressed by Wach as I fought him on a few days notice and was the heaviest of my career weighing 260 pounds and I couldn't shadow box for 4 rounds and some how managed to go 4 rounds with him. But I do believe this is a good step up for Miller and a fight to get Wach back in the mix if he wins.

Your so right. I think I can do 6 pints of Guinness and still follow the 'action'
Should be a good night then...
I'm actually looking forward to it to be fair. There is something about 2 lumbering super heavies duking it out that amuses me no end.

I don't think Miller is lacking in speed, not in the early rounds anyway. He moves extremely well for a man of his bulk and rather reminds me of Buster Mathis.

Hopefully, deontay Corleone doesn't ruin this one too!

miller is a plodder with zero snap in his shots. throwing pitty-pat punches to find openings doesnt mean speed. he was moving in slowmotion against washington.

That's not how I remember it. The guy's nearly 300lbs. He aint gonna move like a Bantamweight.

because he'd brutally assault you and then be taken off to jail? or because he'd cuddle and tickle you?

Either would be an eventuality I would be extremely keen to avoid.

I also thought he moved pretty well. But I agree about his punches. In the slo mo replays they looked to be cupping arm punches not having the back and shoulders involved. Maybe he hurt his hands, I don't know, but it did seem like his shots were not thrown with the power a 300 pound man should have.

Fair point although you may have trouble convincing "El Pollo Negro"

I've had an eye on Miller for a while and always figured he could do damage if unleashed on the lower half of the top 10/15 (your Hammers, Whytes, Breazeales at least) though whether he could get further than that I couldn't say for sure yet.
On the other hand it troubled me how he's never seemed to attract much backing - New Yorker, confident, marketable trash taking, unbeaten with a very good KO%, seems like if he was as good as I figure he could be he should have been snapped up by Al Haymon or GBP (or at least Dibella Entertainment or someone) by now. Isn't he a free agent? Sure, he's a little doughy but he doesn't carry it THAT badly (compared to some) and there's money to be made on his career if he can at least challenge the top guys, no?

I didn't realise the height difference was so big until I saw them both together. If Wach can keep up his jab, it might be like the first three rounds of Miller Vs Washington?

I'm very interested in what Miller weighs in at and how good Wach's physique is. It would be nice if they trained hard and it goes past the middle rounds- just to see what Miller's engine is like.
I voted The Buffet

Miller said he's at 296 with 5 weeks to go. I'm guessing he'll be about 305.
