Next year is going to be very interesting.

Look at Hearns stable. Obviously Joshua is top guy but he is out of contract next year.

Bellew only has a couple of fights left ( will go if Haye demolishes him)

Crolla hasn't got more than a year left same for Burns.

Kell Brook don't get me started on his career.

He needs more headliners. The Olympians he has need to step up fast IMO

Roy Jones sure made him look like one, just goes to show how far ahead of the Brits, and everyone else, jones was.

The rivalry is fantastic for boxing.

Whatever is written on these forums it needs to be written ... never ever underestimate Mr W arren & his team :KO:

The Hearn & W arren rivalry is going to be superb for us fans & with ITV, Dave & Freesports ... boxing fans have not had it better.

In fairness Hearn (and sky) have done amazing with Joshua who they signed from scratch.

Though you had to be an idiot to fail with a heavyweight who won gold at home.
I think you can say the difference in Froch's profile was greater from the point he went to Matchroom to the end of his career then before.
Yes Mick Hennessy was doing a real bland job with the cobra before

Be fair though look what Roy made James toney look like.

Sugar boy was awkward and decent at the top level. He was no bum

I know you said don’t get me started on Kell brook, but I still feel he potential has some more fights at the top. He needs rebuilding and to come out of fights with eye sockets in tact, but he may not be finished yet. I guess we’ll find out at his next showing, at 154 I guess

In one sense I agree - rivalry is good.

My issue is the different approach adopted by both promoters, and I genuinely don't think Warrens safety first plan is a good one. Take Flanagan for instance. He's not an exciting nor a popular fighter. Make the Crolla fight happen. Or a fight with Linares or Garcia. He might lose but so what? A decent performance in defeat against Linares is probably better for him than going through the motions in an empty venue against another Cruz.

Boxing is doing well because in the main big fights that people want to see are being made. Not every fight, but we're miles away from the Calzaghe/Hatton Warren years of five/six/seven YEARS of build up and talk with the odd decent fight chucked in. In three years we've had Frampton Quigg, Frampton Santa Cruz x2, Joshua Klitschko, Brook Spence, Haye Bellew, Fury Klitschko, Brook Golovkin, Froch Groves, Saunders Eubank, Jack DeGale. Not all of them have been thrilling but they make far more sense than Calzaghe against an endless stream of Salem/Ashira/McIntyre/Pudwill.

My worry is Warren stumps up decent money for his fighters and over protects them again. Saunders has no option but to go abroad; his career in the UK is dying. But there's genuine potential for the rest.

The argument about the quality of shows will always rage on ...

My point is the showcasing of professional boxing on our screens for those fans who cant go to shows has never been better ... quantity wise.

Completely seperate argument when “quality” is discussed ... for example are PPV shows worth the money but then if the promoter didnt have the PPV route would the top fights happen so often in this country.

I only think Kell has a year left aswell. 154 isn't an say division and I think the last two fights have ruined him.
