Re: David Haye Injured Again??

He fought injured last time out and cost loads of ppl alot of money in bets so what he should of done was stick to his word and reture at 30,he had achieved alot reached his dream of becoming a unified world champ probably done more than he thought he would do by moving up to heavyweight and winning a version of a world title and had a couple of box office fights. His achievments do speak for themselves but so does his history of talking the talk but not walking the walk.CaptainSpacerod wrote: ↑12 Nov 2017, 20:40 Haye’s achievements speak for themselves, he’s an all time great of British boxing. I like the guy but i can understand people thinking he behaves like a pudendum sometimes.
That said, I think it’s very petty the way some posters hold a grudge against haye for pulling out of fights thus costing them money they’d already forked out for tickets etc. As others have pointed out all his injuries have been legitimate, he’s a pro boxer, they often get injured and can’t fight. He should fight injured just so you suckers don’t lose a few quid ?
I agree with pretty much all of this.CaptainSpacerod wrote: ↑12 Nov 2017, 20:40 Haye’s achievements speak for themselves, he’s an all time great of British boxing. I like the guy but i can understand people thinking he behaves like a pudendum sometimes.

What about the levels of hate bellew gets? Do you think that is deserved? Commonwealth british european and WBC world champion but still gets slated, haye is a top athlete and is a british boxing modern day great no doubt about it his pull outs and failed show ups in fights have tarnished his rep a lot and some ppl are just fed up with himyoungrell wrote: ↑13 Nov 2017, 07:04I agree with pretty much all of this.CaptainSpacerod wrote: ↑12 Nov 2017, 20:40 Haye’s achievements speak for themselves, he’s an all time great of British boxing. Haye has had a lot of disappointments through his career and it is very frustrating, but the levels of hate really does go overboard
Bellew gets hate because of his personality and inflated opinion of himself more than anything else.thechump wrote: ↑13 Nov 2017, 07:21What about the levels of hate bellew gets? If he's skint like some people say then he won't pull out,at this stage of his career he has to take what cash is on offer,if he fought Bellew without injury and lost he'd still be in the same situation as if he fights injured and lost, without any options really.stujones wrote: ↑13 Nov 2017, 08:06 Haye's got to pull out if injured, he really cannot afford any other defeat - particularly fighting a guy on the basis of unfinished business due to an injury.
To be honest, whilst I do not know the full extent of the damage to his achilles, I always felt that a return before the year was out was a tough ask - and I did not like the vibes at the various press conferences. He should be 100% fit before signing the fight - he seemed like he was working towads 100% at the press conferences. He would not say he was 100%, just saying how well is achilles was at this stage and how well he was recovering (not recovered).
If Haye's broke and only doing it for the money - then surely better to try and fight two or three times against lesser opponents than one fight and retire. Loses again and there are no more options - he is in the last chance saloon.bigjack wrote: ↑13 Nov 2017, 08:21If he's skint like some people say then he won't pull out,at this stage of his career he has to take what cash is on offer,if he fought Bellew without injury and lost he'd still be in the same situation as if he fights injured and lost, without any options really.stujones wrote: ↑13 Nov 2017, 08:06 Haye's got to pull out if injured, he really cannot afford any other defeat - particularly fighting a guy on the basis of unfinished business due to an injury.

If he is injured though,he could still lose against a lesser opponent, and the injury appeared before he got in the ring,so it looks like it's the training he can't cope with, surely fighting a lesser opponent wouldn't mean he's train less.stujones wrote: ↑13 Nov 2017, 10:19If Haye's broke and only doing it for the money - then surely better to try and fight two or three times against lesser opponents than one fight and retire. Yes i remember that.Controversial wrote: ↑13 Nov 2017, 11:17There was footage of Bellew mentioning that Haye was injured prior to their first fight, he said it was leaked by someone from Hates team so not that tight a ship.
Yeah he said it in one of the pre-fight press conferences, didn’t he? Said he’d heard about Haye flying to Germany to see a specialist?bigjack wrote: ↑13 Nov 2017, 11:22Yes i remember that.Controversial wrote: ↑13 Nov 2017, 11:17There was footage of Bellew mentioning that Haye was injured prior to their first fight, he said it was leaked by someone from Hates team so not that tight a ship.
About an ankle ligament wasnt it? Hmmm wonder why his ligament went in the fight then? Also in the joshua fight the ref stopped it early and ppl saying it was to protect the fighter, why didnt the ref protect the fighter in the haye vs bellew fight then if its the refs job to protect them? It was clear haye couldnt stand up let alone throw punches but the ref let it go on. He should of been struck offBoxerbeetle wrote: ↑13 Nov 2017, 11:47Yeah he said it in one of the pre-fight press conferences, didn’t he?
