It's telly, not radio.
100% I love watching old fights where the commentators only spoke when there was something that needed saying

Buncey was good last night with Barry but spoke far too much
Probably...but I didn't mind... they were really relaxed... and it was all entertaining, felt like old mates...

Made me realise how poor most of it is.
Yeah jus felt like 2 fellas who know their boxing watching the fight an Buncey giving his opinion on Brezeale etc.

I just prefer the old school style of commentating where they literally said very few words. But compared to sky it's a class above

I can't decide if I like the fella who does the bt sport or not

The big thing is...don't be seen to be trying too hard. Then when you do get caught up in the motion of it...well, it feels genuine...

The great Harry Carpenter was very good at this, until one Frank Bruno left hook... Cemented his place in history with those four words.

The last punditry team with Naz and co was good.

With the WBBS come to an end, I would have to say, their team is arguably #1.

ITV haven't really got their own fighters, so are less biased.

He’s really poor. Not even amusing with it either, bland guy is Froch.

Sky Sports could have the best of the best of the best but all the time they have that fvcking bellsniff Smith commentating they are the worst broadcast team.

Sky may as well have put out a statement announcing they were officially dumbing down their boxing coverage when knowledgable passionate boxing journalist Ed was replaced by gobshite rent a skirt Anna.

Ed is much missed.

Reading the posts that lament SkySports makes enjoyable reading because I switched Sky off years ago and went over to BN and that completely refreshed my interest in boxing, which Sky was managing to kill off (and I have no other sport I'm interested in from a spectator view point, so that was a disaster). Sky had become unbearable ages ago so I can only imagine how appalling it must be now.

Steve Bunce has a tough job of pleasing everyone and to his credit has improved immeasurably over the years. The Boxing hour is a must watch for me now and him & Barry Jones do a great job together and long may it continue.

Steve Lillis is a fantastic old school journalist who balances that with keeping up with the times and is always a welcome guest/pundit in the studio.

Alex Steadman's enthusiasm for the sport and knowledge is there for all to see when he hosts the excellent Boxing Matters.
Agree with all of this

Naz is funny at first but would quickly become tiresome imo. Got the feeling Duke had to carry him through a fair bit when it came to actual knowledge of the fighters.
