Ustinov down. You've got to admire Charr's patience. He had a plan and he stuck to it. The end is near.

No doubt Charr's the more skilled but for me in the early rounds he didn't throw enough. Makes me wonder if Charr is big enough for the top heavies, the way he was pushed around by the incredibly crude Ustinov early on.

Ustinov toughing out though it's all Charr now.

I've given Charr everything since round 7 including a 10-8 round so he's winning on points now.

Well done to Ustinov for surviving, he's tough as well as crude, but Charr's got this for me.

Glad to see Charr is still talking the game seriously. That's as good a performance as I've seen from him.

Stefano Carozza 111-115 | John Poturaj 111-116 | Stanley Christodoulou 112-115 .
It's already up on Boxrec. They are on the ball tonight.
Clever strategy from Charr but worry about his strength against more skilled big guys.

Dreadful fight worthy of a WBA Regular belt, I had Charr winning 116-113, after he hurt Ustinov with the left hook in the 7th it was all him, nice KD he scored with the same shot in the 8th, just a pity it was so late in the round, I could've done with him getting Ustinov out of there, he still never threw the left hook as much as he should've though as that was the shot Ustinov was wide open for
I fancied Ustinov to KO Charr beforehand and he started off busy and thought he might start to punch through Charr as the rounds went on but I was giving him too much credit, he's diabolical, slow, crude, no defence, no technique, he leans far too far back when he throws and his stamina is pretty poor as well, i'd imagine George Foreman looked like Ustinov the 1st time he ever sparred
Cant wait for Joshua/Charr, maybe the one time I'm actually glad that the WBA don't make their champions meet despite what they claims the intention
Also the ref lifting Charr's hand and some doughnut putting the belt around his waste before the MC even announced the winner was a lovely ending to the night

he should get a nice pay day handing the title over to somebody more worthy of a shot at AJ.
Guys like Ortiz(1), Povetkin(5), Miller(7), Pulev(8) or Whyte(9)...

My lad is 11 and a bit daft tbh, not really clued up at all but he asked if Ustinov was allowed to push with his fist and hit with the inside of the glove like that. Said it looked wrong.
If even he can spot the shambolic punching style of the guy, well says it all to me and if you knew how daft my lad can be, you'd get it.

it would put him in a position for a shot at AJs 'Super' Title and that's something he clearly doesn't want...

How often do the normal champion and super challenge meet?
How often do the WBA enforce that?
They talk about it but the just want 2 guys, with 2 belts at every weight, claiming to both be world champions, paying them a fee

how often has the WBA 'Regular' Champ chased and called out the WBA 'Super' Champ?
If Ortiz, Povetkin, Pulev, Miller or Whyte were to win the title I reckon they would use it as a tool to get the AJ payday...

Probably not often enough.
Most guys at most weights will be content to use the ordinary title to sell themselves as world champions.
As you pointed out, that's exactly what Bellew would do with it. I don't think that would put him off pursuing the title though as an easy way to get a heavy weight strap and make a few paydays from it.

Thought Charr looked good. But he’s not world class.
If I was involved with the fella who beat Chisora a few weeks ago I’d be chasing Charr. Good name, limited and ‘title’ involved.
Good level cannon fodder.
