I remember watching that jones fight it was with richy evatt and evatt had his hair the colour of tiger stripes, wasnt he from coventry? He had a fight with another guy from coventry not long after that fight like a local pride fight, evatt lost on points i think

Same.

From memory the stoppage of Mock was a bit premature too.

Yeah I remember the tiger stripe hair. He came in as a no hoper according to the commentaters but from the opening bell he was game as a badger and well on top but jones was a julian jackson type of banger with that right hand no matter how far behind in a fight

He was from Coventry and fought Roy Rutherford, who was also a Cov lad, but Evatt won it on points :TU:

Rutherford could really fight, apparently he has in the same class as Evatt in school.
Evatt had the reputation of being a handful out of the ring, when he was at Matchroom with Blue Boy Gallagher they were a right pair together!

I really never saw how Maidana vs Floyd 1 was considered controvesial. Collazo vs Hatton and Sturm vs DLH IMO both upsets DID happen.
Well the decision will be listed as losses so did it really happen?

George Foreman vs. Ken Lakusta (July 31, 1990 in Edmonton, Alberta)
Check it out on YouTube: Half a minute before Lakusta is counted out in the third round, he lands a Hail Mary overhand right on Foreman's jaw and Big George staggers backwards and comes with a heartbeat of going down. When I interviewed him immediately after the fight, Foreman told me it was the hardest he had been hit since launching his comeback three years earlier. When next we spoke, at his IBHOF induction ceremony in 2004, he hadn't changed his mind. "When Kenny landed that one big shot, I was hurt bad. All I could see was $20 million floating ou the window," he said.

Would that have been an upset? I seem to remember it being a 50-50 fight?

I think it would have been an upset , Eubank was way past his prime, and two divisions up from his weight.

the difference is size was huge, Carl looked a lot bigger, and I thought he would have beat Eubank easily with just size and power.
