Not great pay for Truax to defend his title, especially considering some of the purses Haymon paid out in the early PBC days, but still probably more than many "world champions" (especially in the lower divisions).

At least James has had the chances to make big money in the past.

I’d imagine on the open market he would have been able to get more but the rematch clause probably dictated the fee for the rematch

I’m actually pretty excited about this card now (still not staying up for it though). Really interested to see what DeGale has left.

Lara - Hurd should be intriguing as well, no idea who’s going to win that one. It’s the only pick on PTBF so far this year that I’ve been unsure of.

Dreadful fight with no quality, I had Truax winning 116-113, a couple of even rounds, cant believe the commentator and 1 judge had DeGale winning comfortably, he was poor and showed no intelligence, Truax done what he always does, marched forward and tried to make DeGale uncomfortable which he did, neither guy was landing clean but for me Truax was at least trying to make things happen

DeGale never went to the ropes and his legs were good to be fair but after a good first couple rounds he just collapsed IMO, his jab was non existent, the cut which was bad in all fairness troubled him a lot throughout, it was a messy fight a lot of holding and ive no problem with the point deduction, he'd been warned already about use of the shoulder and head

DeGale showed the of glimpse of ability but he spent most of the fight on the back foot and he never held his feet enough or put enough pop in his shots to stop a strong guy like Truax coming forward, as far as punches landed go there wasn't much between them as they were both poor but I personally preferred Truax for wanting it more

Another struggle for DeGale and I cant see him holding his title for long this time around

The next elite fighter degale fights he gets destroyed. Truax really is nothing special. Degale isnt world class any more.
