I think that if boxer knows he can't win it is a good idea to quit.

I know the casual fans want to see the blood and the inevitable KTFO of the over matched opponent.

True fans want to see the good boxers stay good and fight another day. Last thing we need is another brain bleed from taking unnecessary punishment. Boxing is after all just a sport and not the gladiator games.

Fighters often say in prefight talk that they'll "have to be carried out of the ring" before they allow themselves to lose.

But how many follow up on this promise? Shouldn't every boxer be held to the highest standard of valor simply because they know the risks of boxing?

The only thing they talk about is doping and cheating, why didn't he do that with Stiverne? Who failed a doping test, payed the WBC a bit of money and had the WBC their permission to fight anyway? Why didn't Wilder have problems with that? Especially after Stiverne missed another doping test after that? How comes? Oh yea, because Stiverne is a massive bum ofcourse who could very well die in a real boxing match against a real heavyweight champion.
