Blatant corruption. They don't even bother to hide it anymore. No wonder nobody's interested in boxing anymore.

To all of those saying it did not effect the outcome.... We will never know if it did

Reminds me of stoolgate when Yoel Romero took extra time on his stool after getting rocked by Tim Kennedy the round prior, only to come out the next round and ko Kennedy. This was in the UFC, and much more blatant than what happened Saturday night. Not the fasirest. But as my mom used to tell me, life isn't fair.

"There shall be a 60 second intermission between rounds, unless otherwise directed or authorized by
the Commission. The referee, at the request of the ringside physician, may extend this intermission,
if necessary to examine a participant, for up to 30 additional seconds."

The exact rule for boxing by the N.Y. commission. So it was done fair, by the book, only taking up 15 seconds. The doctor let the corner do their work, then looked at the fighter. The time keeper rang the bell not knowing the doctor wanted to look at the fighter. People are making a big deal over something that has happened many times in N.Y. The doctors in N.Y. have the ability to stop the fight themselves, or look at a fighter any time they choose. They don't need to ask the ref. I can't really make it an easier for people to understand here......

Ortiz and his corner didn't complain, but people here are up in arms. Let. It. Go.
