there may always be a stigma however with his 'for the the Heavyweight Championship" fight with Floyd Patterson.

he writes in his book that he was being black-mailed "by an unnamed woman from Cleveland"
that he had met in a night-club a few years before that fight
who had taken either some nude if not pornographic photos of him when they were 'dating"
( he didn't write exactly that but just read between the lines of what he had written)
anyway she black-mailed him earlier too for $$$$ of course.
