2nd or 9nth it would be good to see the fight.Ronnie did the job, and most boxing fans would love to see the rematch.
As for Ronnie going to MMA, or back to kickboxing, would he make the same £££ as he would in boxing? Unless he went down the UFC route or K1 would it be in the same ball park as what he was getting boxing side?

Mark is a good manger, and has been around boxing a lot longer than Ronnie or his family, and once Ronnie has finished in boxing , he will still be around boxing and I felt your comments were a bit disrespectful given the fact he stood by Ronnie given his recent hiatus, in pro boxing you very rarely find that level of loyalty no doubt you will hate that but .
Also I do seem to recall you all having issues with Tony, and Tommy who were previous manager's/Promotor's to Ronnie.

It’s not about the money is that hard for you to understand?? What makes a good manager?? In what way is his hiatus standing by Ronnie? Has Ronnie not stood by Mark in the exact same way? A manager is only as good as their fighters.. Before Ronnie where was Mark?? I’m pretty Sure both Tommy and Tony got big fights for Ronnie.. As a manager he has done the exact same for Ronnie as Tony and Tommy... I never once had a problem with Tony.. Tony the same as Mark was very good with Ronnie on a friendship basis.. Tony listened to advice and worked for Ronnie not to try and be Eddie Hearn.. Ronnie had his reasons for leaving Tony and that’s down to him. I didn’t agree for the record we got offered the same contract v Barrett for a fight v Liam Walsh and negotiated a far better deal and had a plan in place for if Ronnie had beaten Liam... As for Tommy Gilmour he is what he is it’s all about money with him and he couldn’t care less about the fighters but he was able to get the fights and negotiate well..

I will come onto Mark since you want to say I’m being disrespectful.. Mark is a relatively new manager so for being in boxing for years before any of us and when we go away.. We have been around contact sports since we were 7/8 year old.. People in boxing had heard of Ronnie Clark before they had heard Mark Dunlop... That’s you but I’m not shocked your a narcissist and if that’s what Mark believes then more fool him.. I don’t actually have a problem with Mark I see it as it is!! Ronnie really likes him and Mark seems to be good with him in the sense of friendship.. Mark has to ask himself the question is he in it for himself or for the good of his fighters.. If it’s the first then point is proven.. If it’s the 2nd then proof is in the pudding prove it... As the saying goes put your money where your mouth is... Fact of the matter if I had seen the Barrett contract before it was signed I would of said to negotiate or not fight.. The reason is simple there is no gain either way for me and I have my brothers best interest at heart.. That’s what people don’t like to hear.. We can’t be bought!! We won’t change our opinion for a few kids.. Our brother being happy is more important than winning or losing any fights.. In life all you really have is your moral code without that all you are is a number and more than likes a insignificant one at that!!!

I never had any problem with Tony lol.

I don't think I ever spent one moment in his company. David was actually quite friendly with Tony though from my memory and wanted Ronald to stick with him.

As for Tommy I thought he was all about money. Again didn't ever have any dealings with Tommy barring winding him up at shirt and collar events wearing ties, again issue with Tommy was his approach and Ronnie just did his thing. Tommy did some things well like get Ronnie paid for sparring at.times. for record I loved the dinner shows and some of my favourite fights were in that venue.

Mark- have no problem with Mark he's not my manager. Do i like him as a person? Answer is no. My problem is when a manager feels need to steal limelight from fighters and the calling out at weigh ins and face on camera with all his fighters is just annoying for me..sticking with Ronnie who.did nothing wrong. Ronnie has also.stuck with him. I think Ronnie will always strike a friendship with guys like Mark and that authority style just doesn't suit who he is, he's his own man and will.do what he wants. Mark will know that by now and he's a strange character who doesn't care what anyone wants from him. He's not 23 he's 33. He is who he is. Mark also called wrong date for fight and got anty because I put on Twitter about the date and getting confirmation for the 2nd....Mark replied the 2nd has been confirmed for 4 weeks so I can imagine he won't be best pleased being pissed around.

Whatever Ronnie does we don't csre. Well back him in whatever. But trust me he knows what we put and respects we have our views but bottom line is he wants to fight he'll fight...But he'll decide. Not me, David, Mark or Warren.

2 months later, Barrett is still showing as boxing but there isn't an opponent named yet - with 3 days to go!!

Ridiculous - someone somewhere is being set up.

I still think that Ronnie should have taken it (he hasn't box since, and doesn't have anything lined up). if he was so confident of winning then he should have took the win and the money.

Ronnie got minor work done on his hip. His first time in the gym was this week so there is no way he could have fought. Also he needs paid to fight. Walking away from a 12 round fight as the champion for 5k just doesn't cut the mustard.

The problem is he was the only real fight on the card and they all know it. They tried to force it and acted desperate. Threatening to sue him the lot. People have no idea. One email stating he will not fight and be able to provide for his kids. Disgusting people. See people get confused and think that because he's in a promotional contract he can't fight and that's not true. He can fight and a promotor does not dictate to opponents. It's all a conflict of interest, fw matchmakers have guys there managing like Leon Woodstock promoted by allegedly. It's all wrong. Ronnie wants guarantees of what happens when he beats Barrett. He also wants to fight people who have something to offer. Zelfa has never once been ranked above Ronnie or been in a better position than him. He was a prospect Ronnie beat him and now wants to fight for another title. Would zelfa have given him a Rematch? Answer is no. Like Martin j ward or Craig Evans didn't which were closer fights than that one. The amount of boxers who have commented on his page and private mailed the page saying tell them to stick a Rematch and move forward is unreal.

Scottish boxers are dictated to and odds stacked against them all time so why can't zelfa come to the Mtk Glasgow show in August and do it there? allegedly have stuck all there boys on the Belfast show so same example. Tell you one thing I could write a book on this sport. The real side and how crooked these people really are. The only people in boxing who can be trusted are the boxers and trainers. The managers and promotors are all at it. All doing the same thing. That's excluding carl Greaves and steff bull btw who are trainers and promoting.

No he's a allegedly fighter which means he will be on the channel still. I am maybe missing the point but I am up for explaining every single aspect of the fight.

1. The money is a joke. Exact same as last time.
2. There is nothing to gain rankings wise as he's below him. That age old saying all risk no reward which ties in with not being financially rewarded to take it.
3. As a champion he needs to fight in his back garden.
4. He's not being told a plan for when he wins. What next screwed over again and made yo do all the above x2.

If zelfa had beat Ronnie on score cards they would have never looked back. People are to quick to say o that's boxing for you. Promotors etc who have never laced the gloves up disrespecting fighters over emails. It's madness. Couldn't do 3 minutes on a bag.

What's next on the cards for Ronnie then Jamie? I'd love to see him and Tennyson go at it personally. Are they both with Mark Dunlop?

Who knows mate. He got a small op so he's just getting back into the swing of it.

Both guys are with Mark Dunlop but fighting James Ronnie would be more than happy to do. It's business and he believes he stops James. But he's a fighter so that's his mindset.

Ronnie wants to fight either Tennyson, ward, cacace or Bowen. All about him in the rankings and holding belts. Until zelfa offers something he just doesn't see why. Of course if they force it then more than likely he will do it but this time he knocks him out. He had 18 days notice the last time.
