Thoughts on this?
Does he now go back to British?
Euro?
Can he beat Hughie Fury?
British level, certainly; European level; I'm not convinced.
I don't think he beats 'Shades of Ali', as he can't run fast enough to catch him.

there are all sorts of other guys who are more a problem then price, look at conor benns next opponent for example, 1 win in almost 4 years, 4 straight losses with none above british level , with 3 by stoppage, including being down 3x and stopped in 1 by light hitting area level tom farrell
price is dropping and hurting euro and world level fighters and still winning every round vs decent journeymen

I’m onboard with the Price please retire movement but you really must be accurate when you divert attention elsewhere.
Chris Truman is boxing Conner Benn next. He has 3 wins in the last 4 years, 4 if you make it 4 years and a month. Losses all in contests against decent unbeaten opponents and all at shortish notice in the away corner and none have been stoppages anything like as heavy as those suffered by Price.

since july 2014 hes had 1 win. so were getting close
four straight straight losses, 3 stoppages, and at an overall far lower level then price is fighting. no one like tom farrell has been stopping price with first round, 3 knockdown blowouts. and even his best opponent has never done anything beyond british level. and has truman been dropping and hurting these guys btw like price has at euro and world level?
clearly a lower level fighter then price, and apparently not going into fights prepared either according to you
more worrisome imo
will he add a 5th straight loss and 4th stoppage loss in last 5? i think probably, even though i dont rate benn at all.
and this isnt even close to the worst case either, i only mention him because i saw hes fighting benn. there are loads more like this and much worse, but ppl single out price because hes high profile and there using his original peak memories and hype to some extent as a standard. but the sport has way way more cases worse then him that no one says a word about.

No, to make your point seem more valid you have made an untrue statement which massively changes the data and hoped nobody would know or check that you had ignored two wins and as you are happy with ‘getting close’, it’s 4 wins in 4 years as he also won in the March which gives him as many wins as losses in that time.
Which of those fights did you see that makes you think they were more damaging than the stoppages Price has suffered?
Perhaps Truman shouldn’t be boxing and opinions do vary, that’s not really my issue with your statements, it’s the inaccurate statements stated as fact.

i said 1 win in almost 4 years, thats not untrue at all, if only you were a bit sharper perhaps you could be the detail stickler

So you did.
He also has 4 wins in around 4 years.
I think you misrepresented the facts to alter perception and having seen all of Price stoppages and two of Trumans I believe that David Price is much more at risk.
I’m not sure if I think Price should be forced to retire but I would like him to.

He should throw his name into the hat for a Tyson Fury 'comeback' fight.
Be more interesting than some Latvian bum we've never heard of.

I think he should retire.
If he doesn't want to, I think his team should try to talk him into retirement.
If they can't, and he insists on fighting, it should be no higher than domestic.

Its the only fight that makes sense to me. Big British interest, history between them and both fighting to save their career.

Yes and i wouldnt be fretting too much about Price getting his head taken off against a rusty Fury

I think Team Fury would consider him off limits in the risk-reward stakes. It wasn't many fights ago that Cruiserweight Cunningham was putting him on his back.
I'd be fascinated to see it though.

You’re only as good as your last fight. Tyson was barely hit and AJ couldn’t throw a right against Joesph “Pep” Parker.

It's easy to barely be hit when your opponent is just staring at you and not throwing punches. Parker had thrown more punches by the first 4 rounds than Wlad threw the whole fight with Fury.

The fights that have earned Fury the status of defensive technician were all when the opponents weren't offering much (Chisora/Hammer/Wlad).
A Price fight could easily be made and would undoubtedly do good business. But I'll be amazed if it happens any time soon. If Tyson kayos him, meh, so did Teper (albeit drugged up), if it goes to points Fury looks feather fisted, and if David lands cleanly I think Tyson is in trouble. None of which are desirable outcomes for the 2 Fast brand (ahem).
Just my tuppence worth.

Is that the same Chisora, Hammer and Wlad who were incredibly gunshy against Whyte, Price and AJ respectively? What an amazing coincidence all turned pacifist for one night against Tyson.

Which ones of Furys contests have question marks for his PED use?
Maybe his best performances weren’t clean.
Be interesting to see what a clean Fury looks like after his lay-off.
Can’t see them touching price yet.
But with Team Fury going down the PPV route then Price would be a credible opponent in fight 2 or 3.

i think he should comeback and have a proper go on the domestic front (Little,Allen,Sexton maybe even gormon, webb,) they would be good fights that you could put on a sky or bt undercard.

Price can still headline the echo arena against those guys with a decent undercard.

David Price: I've Really Found My Mojo - Return Eyed For July 27
Price plans to return in a tune-up bout and then wants to step things up with an opponent ranked in the top 15.
"I'm just recovering and letting my injuries heal right now but my eye is already on the next move," Price exclusively told Sky Sports.
"I've got July 27 pencilled in by my management team so I have something to look forward to straight away, I'm not taking time out and am ready to hit the ground running.
"Before the Povetkin fight I said to myself that I would carry on regardless of the result. I got myself in good shape for that fight and now I want to build on that. The belief is still there and for the first fight back we want to try and get a decent opponent, then after that get a top-15 ranked fighter."
Despite the loss, Price believes that he's gained his mojo back and vows to return in a stronger form than before.
"There was plenty to take from the loss and it was definitely a risk worth taking, I just got beat by a really good fighter. I did come close to winning or at least I had him hurt but it was just bad timing and came at the end of the round. I think I definitely showed I can compete at that level. Getting back in the gym, sparring again, I feel like I've really found my mojo. Even though I lost, this could be the catalyst I need and I believe it will be - I'm in a good place physically and mentally."

One has to wonder where his 'mojo' has been?
Also, will his 'mojo' improve his punch resistance?

If Price has confidence then he can still win some fights. I’d like to see a trainer who can really get him using a jab effectively and constantly throughout a fight. He has a decent punch and obvious physical advantages but his actions in the ring have tended to negate all of that.
It’s true that he has been KO’d five or six times but he hasn’t taken a great deal of punishment. He can still win at British and European level, I’ve said it before on here I’d like him to come back and at least win the Lonsdale belt outright I think if he’s the best version of himself then he can achieve that...
