GGG... He's too fast and skilled... Too strong on the inside.

And Monzon over Hagler... His flying elbows would be the difference.. He'd rip Hag's face up.

"yes" on Monzon. He'd be my bunker mate if necessary.

IIRC, Hagler got clocked over the head in a streetfight. So I would not pick him over too many people. BUT:

Leon Spinks vs Larry Holmes. One that I think Larry would lose.

Great point. But Leon did come up in the projects, and knocked out his drill sergeant. If it had to come to pass, I'd probably pick him. But the situation would be funny as hell.

Duran kicks his ass 10 times out of 10 in a street fight.
Good example. The street requires a very different skillset and mindset to the ring.

I am not mayweathers biggest fan, but i think you would be seriously underestimating him in picking maidana or macgregor in a streetfight. Just because he's a highly skilled boxer doesnt mean he lacks the ruthlessness ,viciousness to be a monster in a streetfight.
He lacks the wrestling skills and the skills to avoid low kicks. There is no way for Mayweather to win against McGregor in street fight.

something to consider when you are assuming that the defensive fighters would be at a disadvantage......

larger rings are usually helpful to the defensive artist.......the street is pretty big......unless your in a back alley with a chain link fence.

the larger arena might be a neutralizer when aggression faces finesse.....put them in a small cage and it favors the aggressor again.

In a street fight somebody can rush in on you and take you down to the ground. They don't have to box you. They can elbow you, headbutt you, knee you, bite you or whatever the hell else.

I don't think somebody is gonna let a slick boxer slap him around too much before he resorts to rougher tactics.

Jim Carey ruined it before marvel did

Provodnikov vs Algeri.

Algeri was lucky to get the decision in the ring, he would be lucky to survive on the street.

YES!!!!
Duran was a great inside fighter which would help him in a street fight. But who could wrestle, gouge, or kick better, who knows?

I would also guess Duran, but a lot of unanswered questions here.

I just get the feeling that Duran being the significantly MEANER human being would go all out more to win a fight on the streets. I don't think he'd be above poking eyes, and kicking throats if need be.

But if SRL was fighting for his life and health, don't you think he'd get mean too? I'd favor Duran because of demeanor and background though.

That would be Wagner's " Punch low and grin" or "Lohengrin" for short :D

Anyone remember sixties west coast longshoreman, and pro heavyweight, Jimmy Harryman? No great shakes with the gloves on, it has to be said, but I remember reading a story about him taking on a number of punks in the street - who made the mistake of attacking him IIRC, and leaving them all lying in a heap. :OhYes:
