The best fight on the card isn't there cause old fish eyes has no budget threw paying for fury to fight a can. The guy isclueless. Insulting that Ronnie would have been the lowest paid fighter on the card. Old man has gone crazy

If this is the best fighter that Fury felt comfortable with for his comeback fight, then he should piss off and retire, as he's washed up and going to get humiliated against Joshua or Wilder.
He could have beaten this bloke on his debut.

Does anyone really care who the opponent was going to be? At least this padded cruiserweight is better than the rumored Michael Sprott
Seferi has a very inflated respectable record but in reality has only fought 1 decent boxer who was Charr.
Fury should dispose of this character in less than a round and I expect him to do that. If this kid carries Fury into the later rounds then Fury should be ashamed of himself
I'm guessing Furys handlers were looking for this kind of opponent, someone only beaten once or twice with a respectable win ratio.
At least Fury is back but not sure what he will learn from this one. I'm not moaning as it was on the cards really..

Seferi's no power above Spider Rico's level and his chin ain't great. I'll be pretty amazed if he makes it to the end of the second.

There's nothing to add about the opponent. This is obviously pathetic.
But, anyone else notice there was pretty much no BN advertising at all for the Warrington fight? I watched it on BN and it became pretty obvious pretty quickly that bar the logo in the corner of the screen you'd never notice. Not a single advert, (and there were loads of breaks), nothing on the ring or production gear. Seems odd if it's a long term prospect that on FW's biggest domestic card of the year he's not even advertising it.

Awful fight.
Fury has previous for taking the easy option and I was expecting similar with his comeback but this is worse than imagined.
Still, it’s his first one back. I can see similar level fighters 2 or 3 fights in though unfortunately!
He might as well just shadow box infront of a few thousand people.
But... I will say, it's partly the financial/celebrity nature of the sport these days, innit?
I mean, look at Haye. I know he can be a knob, but surely (the fiscal needs of his divorce settlement aside!) he'd've been better off fighting Gjergjghhggjjhhaggggjhhgghh & that Aussie bodybuilder in bog-standard ten rounders on the undercards of proper world title fights somewhere? I mean, surely in every way but money that's gotta be better for you, for your training, for your mindset, for the public perception of your comeback...
& that way, if you fvck up & drop a bollock, people aren't gonna take as much pleasure roasting your failure, as well...
Like I said, I know Team Fury're just going along with the nature of the sport these days but this fight's a fvcking abortion, like Grilling Machine said the Albanian will be lucky to get out the first round. Is there any word on why it's taken this long to announce an opponent? Surely they had a date ready ages ago?

Haye was out for twice as long as Fury and had just lost convincingly against Klitschko.

The Charr fight's on YouTube:
He's in trouble the first time Fury clips him for my money. He looks like an opponent for Lee Froch.

Fury probably consulted Khan on where to find a Lo Greco type opponent.
Overs or unders on 40 seconds?

Reasonable first up opponent under the circumstances. Durable, but has only been beyond 6 rounds once. No point Fury having taking a one round pushover when he needs rounds under the lights.

To give people their money's worth.... 4 rounds, completely lopsided.... Fury victory via TKO

its a needlessly poor opponent. like, surely there are better opponents who hed still beat handily?
but still, even as a poor opponent its a step in the right direction. better then just sitting on his ass and talking. i will forgive it if in the next 6 months or so theres someone decent for where hes at now
He got a gift draw against Crolla victim Perez after Crolla stopped him. That's all I've seen of him. Flanagan should have too much for him.
That fights all I have seen of Hooker. Very negative and he will be difficult to look good against.
That'll suit Terry then
He's a tough watch at times himself man!

Box Na tion is taking the piss now.
Had it from day one. The original selling point was that they would show live, British boxing weekly...plus big international bouts once in a while.
It started off OK, but deteriorated. The past year or so (or whenever the BT thing happened) has got much, much worse.
The main event last night was great on paper, pretty good in reality. The undercard was poo again.
As for Fury, a 6'8, 19 stone, true undefeated world champion taking on a effing eastern european cruiserweight. Come the eff on. Couldn't even get an eastern european heavyweight? And he has been ripping into AJ about his opponents. Not to mention saying that 6'3, 15 stone Tony Bellew is too small for him to consider.
This guy is 5'10 ffs. Plus he isnt even the best cruiserweight in Albania.....he isn't even the best in his f ucking family.
And you seriously expected more?
Come on, he looks good on paper, I didn't even expect that much.

I watched that Charr fight. He does know how to get inside a taller opponent, even if it is to just have a little cuddle. If Fury can't pick him off before he does go for a hug, woe betide him. Sefer Syphilis does have a wild overhand right. That could be risky

I genuinely don't get the hate for his opponent.
Fury hasn't fought in a few years and still getting into fighting shape. This is a knockover job and then he moves on to better fighters.
I'm just pleased he's fighting full stop as a year ago, hell six months ago it didn't look likely.

Agreed
He had 2 years out and became the size of a barrage balloon. It's to be expected he comes back against an easy opponent.
Most fighters after a big lay off do.

I think that a lot of the criticism is because the man is telling people he doesn’t need a warm up fight to beat Wilder or Joshua as they are easy nights work.
If he had said ‘I’ve been out for a while and I’ll work my way back into things’ I think people would be more accepting.

I remember Paul Smith having a 4 round fight on a matchroom card against a journeyman after some time out of the ring. Nobody said anything. Why is fury expected to fight a top ten opponent?
It's not as if he stays in shape and was training the whole time he was out

Exactly this. I have no issue with any come back fight walkover, unless the come backer has spent the past two years bad mouthing everyone else and claiming they could knock them both out the same night.
