Those can be the worst type of fights.

Fleet footed boxers who quickly realize that they're in far over their head, and spend the night on the run, barely punching.

The bouts invariably go the distance and in the case of Pintor-Uziga, it's 15 rounds of unrelenting boredom.

Too bad that the 12 round limit was still in the future. Would have saved fans an extra 9 minutes of agony.

Quite a few Hector Camacho fights were as dull as my overused razors. This was especially true post-Rosario.

He often fought overmatched opponents on the USA network in the 80s and 90s.

Pretty bad stuff. Macho was reluctant to open up and his opponents, for some reason, fought scared and ineffectively.

John Ruiz-Kirk Johnson. Nearly made me lose all hope in HW boxing from then on. Two immensely overrated fighters, horrible lack of skills displayed, and a pathetic, cowardly act by Ruiz (who should've been blacklisted by promoters from then on).

It was Johnson who spent most of that fight fouling Ruiz.

Leonard v Duran 3 deserves a shout.

A complete waste of time of a fight & basically the most exciting thing that happened in the fight was that Leonard got cut.

It was a case of Duran couldn't & Leonard couldn't anymore either!

As many have said Johnny Nelson v Carlos DeLeon. I doubt there is a worse boxing match in history that went 12 rounds without a punch thrown. It was all tapping from Nelson. It was so bad ive only ever seen it once when it was live on TV. It was terrible,

Probably because a lot of people bought into the hype that "Mayweather really hates Pacquiao and he's gunning for a knockout."

I knew that was BS. Why would a guy who's undefeated fighting in a safety first, cautious style, suddenly change his MO?

You knew it would be the same old Mayweather and that Pac would have the problems he always has with smart boxers.

When Chris Byrd fought his bestest Buddy.....it was like a back yard slap fest. Yeah Byrd slapped a few more times and got the nod. I'm not even going to mention the opponent.....I'm sure he wouldn't want to be named. Just too embarrassing.

I've only watched once too & all I remember from that fight is Nelson shrugging his shoulders all night.

I thought Stevenson Jack was a solid exciting fight.

If a fight is super boring I often switch off and forget about it. Haye Harrison was one of the worst I've seen. Frampton-Quigg was the biggest let down.

Stevenson-Jack boring? Momentum swings...both men on the verge of defeat at various times...how was it boring?

Throw a dart at Mayweather's CV.

Mayweather v Alvarez wasn't much better. I was in Thailand and got up early to try and find a bar that was open early and showing the fight. Eventually found a sports bar that was showing it. Ordered breakfast and watched the fight. The most interesting part of the fight was seeing Mayweather's face when they announced a split decision.

As already mentioned: Leonard-Duran III -- add to that Hopkins-Jones I and Camacho-Boza-Edwards.

The last one I paid a $100 for a seat and I am still pissed.

Indeed, they both made a mint out of it. But for the fans it should have been made a few years earlier, when Pacman was seen as a proper threat to Floyd

CBE was an exciting fighter if you engaged him. But Camacho wasn't about to slug it out with anyone after his near disastrous encounter with Rosario.

So Camacho just jabbed and danced, and the slower Boza Edwards couldn't do much about it.

Sorry about that $100--- the same price as PPV for the equally unexciting Mayweather/Pacquiao "FOTC".

Definitively agree about the fight. A guy sitting behind me, sometime around the sixth round, started to chant of "run Hector run" so I joined in with him - by the time we got to the 10th round even Camacho's fans were chanting with us. Everyone felt ripped off.

What you say about the Rosario fight is an interesting thought. What I thought at the time was that Camacho was just plain depressed.

Two years earlier Bramble had stolen a big payday away from Camacho when he stopped Ray Mancini. Hector had to wait almost two years for Bramble to build up enough of a rep to make Camacho-Bramble the mega fight Camacho had lost with Mancini.

That night (was a double header) Don King was promoting the two fights as "The Preamble to Bramble." When the night started we all thought Camacho just might finally get his million dollar payday, but of course Bramble figured out another way to screw over Camacho (and himself) by being stopped (by Rosario) in just two rounds.

At the time I really felt that Camacho was so depressed by Bramble's loss that he just lost the heart to fight. He did even less than jab and dance, at times he just walked away from Boza-Edwards refusing to engage at any level.

Both fights were stinkers.

But you are correct, after the Rosario fight Camacho never really looked that good.
