Jurgen Braehmer asking him for a fight about 5 minutes after the fighter he was coaching (Badly) clearly as he was gassed after 2 rounds - seemed unprofessional.

Gosh, hasn't the UK got some really good SMW's right now?
And Parker coming up as well.
6 in the boxrec top 20. This fight should move Rocky into the top #15 when it's updated.

The belt may be a joke but this was still a good win for Fielding over a solid Euro level opponent.

Braehmer next wouldn't be a bad idea. It's a difficult fight but he would be paid well for it and it would be a good win if he can pull it off.

I've never seen Smith fight like he did with Rocky, before or since.
I hope maybe next year, that they rematch. Rocky has earned everything in his career the hard way. Coming back from his loss to Smith and now in the foyer of the world stage.

:TU: That 10 second spell when Fielding tagged Smith between being hurt then KO'd was probably the biggest test of Callum's career

To be fair I don't think people hold the Smith loss against him too much as Smith can bang (when he chooses to let his hands go).

Getting dropped by Rebrasse and squeaking through on the cards was much more damaging to his credibility.

The lackluster performance vs Ryder didn't help much either.

Yeah, your right. And a lot of people would like to see a rematch with Ryder, myself included. But like I said, it hasn't been as easy a ride for Rocky as some. And I still feel he has done the hard yards to get where he is.

ryder is a dang good fighter, even just squeaking by him is a respectable result. ryder and rebrasse were euro level wins and now hes just battered zeuge for another (admittedly zeugus more like euro then world despite the belt)

plus who can forget the greatest honour of them all, winning prize fighter :yay:

Aye Ryder is probably one of them guys who looks likes he's genuinely improved after a loss or 2, he was always too pedestrian back in the day, its no coincidence that hasn't been an issue since the resurgence

Made up for Rocky. As he said in his post fight interview, to start off with no backing, jump into Prizefighter at 3-0 and work his way to where he is now deserves huge credit. Regardless of the belt, Zeuge in Germany as the underdog is an impressive win.

Where does he go next? Zeuge rematch, maybe in Liverpool? Ryder rematch? If Eubank Jr plans on staying at 168 (which, long term, he shouldn't) then maybe he'll go after Fielding, not sure he has loads of other options at Super Middle so may as well aim for Rocky's belt.

I thought this as well. If I was Zeuge I'd be fuming. Especially as they were alluding to there possibly being a rematch clause in the contract. Imagine suffering your first loss - in front of your own fans, by stoppage, to drop your belt - only for your trainer to be trying to get himself a shot before you when you've apparently got a rematch if you want it.

They should do Braehmer vs Zeuge

In the cold light of day I doubt Zeuge fancies another go,Rocky was too big and strong for him and he was well beaten.
Braehmer is an awkward difficult nights work and a hard sell but I think Rocky could beat him at this stage of his career.

I rate Ryder too, when he is full flow he is a handful and very easy on the eye, I wouldn't mind seeing that rematch.

I know the first fight wasn't great, but if Ryder goes through the gears and Fielding ups his game due to having a title to defend, the fight should be much improved on the first.

Me memory might be letting me down but I thought Ryder was very unlucky not to get the decision against fielding

it was very close, lots of ppl had it different ways, one of those fights that couldve gone to either

as i recall fielding started stronger and sort of bullied ryder a bit, but then ryder got his timing down and won most of the second half. would be interesting as a rematch

I'm watching the interviews with Jürgen Brähmer and Wilfried Sauerland after the fight. There's no love lost between those two.

Brähmer blamed the promoters for organising the fight at short notice and not having a rematch clause, while Sauerland said his wife was hit by a water bottle thrown by Brähmer and blaming the coach for the tension between the camps.

Good win by Fielding, his paper title will get him a career-high payday. Would avoid a rematch with Ryder and chase a fight with Eubank Jr or another belt holder. Maybe Matchroom can do a stadium rematch with Callum Smith if he beats Groves
