I've been on that ferry, I got the wrong one once and it took 72 hours! I never knew there was one for 8 hours, 22h is the shortest I've been on. Be good for boxing if Lejarraga creases Gavin with a bodyshot to finish him off for good, he doesn't deserve this shot in the first place nor the world title fight, I was starting to root for him after reading his interview in this months BM but he can away and shite now

Frankie had natural boxing talent. He should have been a good 140lb fighter at his best.
However fighters with significantly less ability than him actually work hard and dedicate themselves.

If an in-shape Skeete couldn't keep Lejarraga off then I don't see how an out of shape Gavin will fare any better. Lejarraga inside 3?

Never really seen the talent everyone referred to with Gavin, outstanding amateur no doubt but nothing in the pros suggested to me he was ever gonna be a world champ, He was lucky to get the nod against Woodhouse and few of his fights against journeymen were slogs, British and Commonwealth champ is still a great achievement, looked good against Vassell and Welborn and the Skeete win was solid and he deserved his shot at the European against Bundu, I thought he won that fight but that's was about as good as it got for him, managed to somehow get a world title shot against Brook where he was predictably outclassed and stopped, after the loss to Eggington I'd have guessed that was it for him, he somehow gets another crack at a European title and has majorly ballsed it up
Frankie used to post on here and always came across sound but its hard to give him sympathy anymore, i'd argue that he was already on the decline before turning pro

i agree, as a pro hes decent, solid on brit level and perhaps good enough to win an ebu title (i also had him beating bundu), but never some world level talent. hes actually surprisngly easy to hit and walk down despite his top end am point scoring background, and not much strength or power there , though that could in part be a function of fighting too high above his ideal weight vs naturally bigger guys
