Although it may well turn into a stinker, I am actually quite looking forward to the fight.

Pulev is the more proven but has hit his ceiling, Hughie still doesn't know what his ceiling is.

The battle of the jabs will be key in the early stages but down the stretch I thunk Fury will try to put it on the older man and how Pulev reacta will determine the victor.
Channel 5. Gonna do decent numbers.

Any idea what time ringwalk is?

I imagine Bulgaria is 1 or 2 hours ahead.

Why wouldn’t you? I would have thought most people on the B&I forum would want Fury to win?

I'll have the times closer to the time and post it here. I'm guessing around 9 or 10 pm.. Making it around 11pm in Sofia.

Think hughie needs to put a little bit more into this fight than others to get the decision in pulevs backyard, and he will

Yeh. Hope the scores are fair. I’d prefer is Hughie somehow stops him. Whether it’s a KO, ref stoppage, cuts etc. Anything.

I am bit surprised to see more votes for Fury to win than on Pulev.

Pulev has good footwork and great jab. Hughie is faster but does not have the power to hurt Pulev who has good chin.

I don't see Hughie outpointing Pulev in hes backyard.

Maybe age and the shoulder injury can turn it to Fury but other cases I think he will loose it on points.

Fight will probably be perfect cure for insomnia :OhYes:

IF it happens then I am slightly interested. I say slightly because it could be an awful fight with a lot of posturing with Hughie circling the ring not landing.

It's simple if Hughie wants to win this fight then he should do the exact opposite of what he did against Joseph Parker. This is where I think he will come unstuck again. After the Parker fight it wasn't " I could have done better, should have done things differently" it was " I won the fight I'm uncrowned champion". This suggests not much will change his style against a decent operator.

I only watched the last minute of the Sexton fight, but I saw him throwing right hands with speed and intention to do damage. He did not do this once against Parker.

IF the fight happens and if Hughie gets the win then it means he will have earned a world title fight properly unlike last time.
The Sexton fight to me, showed Hughie learned from his fight with Parker. He threw more right hands, and when one connected flush, he went for the finish. He could have so easilly beaten Parker by landing two more right hands per round, it was that close. I'm glad he lost, because it was a good learning experience, and I think it will - and has - made him a better fighter.
If he threw two in the whole fight he woulda got a draw ! :witzend: :OhYes: :brick:

Pulev is underrated. He will stop Hughie without much trouble.

Pulev UD in a very boring fight. With a post fight interview from Mick saying that Hughie won the fight in which he showed shades of Marciano.

How come every time a White man gotta talk about boxing, they gotta go Rocky Marciano, Rocky Marciano.

That’s their one.

Definitely has a few things working in his favour (size & youth), but it’s lack of quality wins that worry me.

Suppose these unknowns are what make it an interesting fight!

I won't be going to the bookies for this fight. I can't pick a winner. Fury is very slick but Pulev is world class, has more power and has the hometown advantage. Who knows with this one.

Marciano did beat Joe Louis though. Even though he was a 137 years old at the time  .

In the Daily Mirror today Hughie as said he will be mandatory if he beats Pulev so Anthony Joshua will have to fight him. If this is the case it will be very short work for Joshua.

Fury is a mover. Joshua would win, but he struggles with movers.
