You forgot-

"I got him losing this by 8 rounds"

The result goes the other way by 3 rounds-

"Well you can't argue with that disision some of them rounds was close and could of went either way" :o

Hoko v Goya Vargas, Jim pretty much had Vargas sussed out during the introductions and called it perfectly (and used all his jimwattisms!)

Oh that's just beautiful!
Thanks for posting it. Made me smile at the memories of Jim. Gee I miss him, so does the Mrs who has picked up ( and uses!) some Jim'isms ove the years of listening to him. That and some Teddy Atlas'isms

what comon jim watt was terrible, in my house we laughed as soon as jim said some one was winning , we all said well the other geezer is winning then , also my irish old man would allways say about the Sean O'Grady fight , a line stolen from wiki "Scotland's Jim Watt, whose most effective weapon became a head butt, stopped American challenger Sean O'Grady in 12 rounds Saturday to retain his WBC world lightweight title.

Met him at a show when i was still writing, he was commentating and we were talking about froch v lacy, at which he got quite animated and i remember him saying

"aye well its always nice to give a flash yank a spanking."

His commentary on the Hagler v Hearns fight remains the benchmark for me, him and Reg added so much to the fight with their commentary.

Good luck to the man, a real gent and consummate pro.
