He needs to be more aggressive. Hopefully this continues.
At 26, he is still the youngest HW in the boxrec top #15. As long as the will to win is there, he has a future in and around the B level.
He's probably set for himself up nicely financially.. He got around £7m for AJ and just over £1m for Whyte..
Like you said, he's only 26.. I'm sure he'll be around or at least another 5+ years.. HW's tend to peak even more in their 30's as they gain experience. I have no doubt he can regain a world title.. It's harder at HW as there is usually 2-3 top HW's and the rest are just contenders.. Belts are usually always unified in the HW division.. as it has been over the last 12 years.

The punch that did most damage and set up the head attack was way low. It was the 3rd or 4th low blow of the fight by Joseph and no doubt had a direct impact on the stoppage of the fight. Joseph was aggressive but he got countered at ease. I was hoping it would go past 6 to see how his stamina was with such aggression but it didnt. Flores should be pissed off. The ref warned Joseph over and over again for low blows but did nothing in the way of point deductions. He was out of posiiton and should've seen the last low blow.
I admit, it did look very low.. Parker was working the body a lot, he was bound to hit low at some points. He's not usually a hard body puncher, they are the ones that tend to make mistakes. But unless the boxers goes down in agony, the boxer being hit low should not stop and look at the ref or start complaining.
Look what happened to BJ Flores (seems to be the Flores' of this world), he claimed he was hit low vs. Bellew, stopped to look at the ref and Bellew just pounced on him.
Should never try to stop the action yourself.
Like I said, if it's low, unless it's the referee who ref'd Mares-Ajegbo. Just simply go down in agony.

Nice. Thanks for sharing. I hope Parker can continue being more aggressive. His success makes the HW division even more interesting. I know it's against Flores, but I hope it portends things to come for him.

As Parker is back to fighting journeymen, his power has returned.

LOL! True, but his aggressiveness is refreshing and gives some hope he can get back to a high level. I think he needed a fight like this. Let's see what happens next.

He just needs to take more risks.

I agree 100%. He has to attack more when the opportunity presents itself and not be so overly cautious. I'd like to see him fight Kownacki next, or a similar level HW.

Or Usyk.

Usyk is not the fighter that Parker needs next. Good for Usyk, but not for Parker. At 26 he's young enough to re-establish himself a step at a time.

If he beats Usyk, he'll win much more, than just this fight.

Of course, but Usyk is too risky and Parker doesn't have to make that fight at this time. Again, he's young and has time to develop more than he has.

I think Usyk would be terrible for Parker.
Unless its a final eliminator i dont see how it happens.... Where does the money come from?
I really rate Joe Parker btw, not too keen on his team/setup and not sure what is left for him in UK with matchroom but id back him to beat most of these B level guys..
I mentioned in another thread.... He is only ranked with the WBC (#5) surely a Breazeale / Ortiz or Whyte rematch is the target for 2019.
