Bezerra deserved to go the distance but he took a systematic beating in the process. It didn't do him any good, that's for sure.

Was a wholehearted effort but he lacks in the power department heavily. Got countered hard all the time but he survived.
Don't see what a fight like that does for a guy like ullysses jr knocking on the top 10.

The junior welterweight from Montreal knocked down Max Becerra once apiece in the sixth and seventh rounds, and convincingly won their eight-rounder on the Canelo Alvarez-Rocky Fielding undercard at Madison Square Garden. Judges Allen Nace (79-71), Anthony Paolillo (78-72) and Robert Perez (78-72) each scored their fight for Ulysse.

Canelo Alvarez (last 12 fights) is selective with his punch output (43.7 per round) and he's accurate, landing 45.7% of his power punches. Canelo's defense is underrated, as opponents landed just 7.4 power shots per round, well below the wgt. class avg. His selective punch output and lateral movement offers opponents fewer opportunities.
