My wish list (29.12.2018) for Joshua, April 2019 (without Usyk) :
1. Wilder
2. Fury
3. Ortiz

I suppose it is too optimistic, but I hope.................
i guess it will be 1.Whyte, 2.Miller, 3.Pulev
It's not horrible, but not the fight(s) we want to see. :maybe:

I'd be happy with even one of those.
But I'd bet big money that none of them happen in the next year
I agree with you, but, the miracles happen, sometimes.
 occasionally but not enough to keep me from be a skeptic
In Cockney rhyming slang a "Sweaty" is a Scotsman. Sweaty sock = Jock i.e. Scotsman.

An American is a "Septic". Septic Tank = Yank.

I guess Tiny, that would make you a septic skeptic :D

Alright, alright I'm going ...

Now you'd be a bit worried if we referred to each other in an overtly gracious way wouldn't you? Not our style. A bit of mildly offensive friendly banter is much more like it. They give it back too, you know. :OhYes:

I'm sure they have a few but the obvious historical/ repeatable one is "Limeys" dating back to the days of wooden ships and the Royal Navy's method for preserving meat before refrigeration.

To Australians we are "Pommies" or "Poms" which is odd because they were the "Prisoners of his Majesty" (POhM) back in the days of transporting alleged criminals to the colonies. Rivalries (sporting mainly) can get pretty heated, and not always good natured, but in times of trouble we know that the Anzacs (Australia/New Zealand) have always got our backs. Brothers fight don't they? :D

A Joshua-Whyte rematch is unnecessary, since the result of the first fight was decisive.

I'd prefer to see Joshua fight Fury, Miller or best of all, Wilder.

And I'd like to see Whyte fight someone he's not fought before: Miller, Povetkin, Wilder or Fury.

But in almost every one of these battles, there’s a decision made inside the inside of the insides where the winner is determined and this was one of those fights where that winner wasn’t determined until each guy probably considered giving up 10 times each. It was a battle

THAT is what makes a great fight, a great fight.
AJ was stunned but never on the brink. You must've been drinking heavily that evening.
Watch the fight again man. He was buzzed more than once. Do you even watch these fights that you comment on. Oh you Russians. Lol

whyte-aj has been hugely overblown, it was literally like just a few seconds where aj was moderately but not seriously buzzed. at no point did he look even close to going down let alone getting stopped. whyte followed up with a brief flurry for a couple seconds and that was pretty much it for the success he had in that fight. by comparison wilder was more troubled by eric molina and fury way more troubled by uss cunningham or nevin pajkic

aj won every other round and then ktfo whyte and made his eyes roll.

I dont feel like Whyte has the ability to beat AJ, so not that excited. We have seen this before.

Everyone knows Whyte was carrying a shoulder injury coming into the fight with Joshua. He was painfully inexperienced but gave Joshua one of his hardest fights to date. Joshua has improved since then but nowhere near as much as Whyte has. I'd expect Joshua to win but there are only a handful of fighters I would consider a bigger risk to Joshua's '0'.

If I wasn't a massive fan of both men, I would relish the chance to watch them beating the crap out of each other, but I am and so I'm not.

Nice post Candy. I believe and have said before that Whyte has vastly improved since he fought AJ. I'm very curious to see just how much.

Thanks Oogie. I can't deny it would be a good fight, nor that Whyte deserves his chance. I feel a bit guilty for not wanting it because if he doesn't get his shot againstJoshua, then he won't get one.

At least he should be WBO mandatory so that should motivate AJ to fight him in the Summer or Autumn if only to get another mandatory out the way.

First fight was a thriller. While this fight won't decide once and for all, whom the heavyweight king is, it's a compelling rematch and would make a great conclusion to a rivalry that started in their amateur days. It has the story, it could well deliver more good action, and Whyte is now a serious heavyweight contender.

Dillian has overachieved as bit but has momentum on his side and I want to see him challenge Joshua.

I'm grateful for fights such as these. In Britain, we're accustomed to having many poor heavyweight contests. Was there ever a golden era in which good fights were consistently delivered? I can't remember one. Having seen Bruno, Hide and Mason manage to not fight one another during the Lewis era. I suffered through the (mostly) dreadful Audley-Williams-Skelton-Sprott bouts. Going back, did Cooper, Bugner and London deliver many compelling or dramatic fights?

Yet of recent, the trend has been broken. And I want to hang on to this. Imported fighters such as Tony Thompson, Povetkin & Takkam have added spice. Thompson-Price 2, Povetkin-Price, Takkam-Chisora were all highly dramatic. The Whyte-Chisora rivalry added consistent action, controversy and ended in a KO of the year candidate. Whyte v Parker was damn good. (Going back, Chisora's two with Sexton were minor classics & Fury's up-and-downers vs Nicolai Firths and Neven Pacjik were huge fun.) And obviously international bouts like Joshua-Klitschko and Fury-Wilder were enormously entertaining, validating us on the world scene.
