Hell Journeyman are never "Supposed to win" when matched against a big name. Sometimes they do, but I've never seen one booked intentionally where the Journeyman to win was the plan.

Agreed.
Robinson always came into fights in the absolutely best shape he could be in, and also learned how to pace himself. This helped him against Davison, in a gruelling fight that saw him go the extra mile.

After winning the WBC bantamweight title in 1979, Lupe Pintor took a routine non-title fight against fellow Mexican Manuel Vazquez - a man he had previously sparked in two rounds. Vazquez was 20-10-1 going in but had Pintor on the deck and badly cut before Pintor retired on his stool at the end of round five. Pintor went on to make eight defences of his WBC title, including the tragic Johnny Owen defence.

Carlo Colarusso Vs Glenn Catley , although Colarusso wouldn’t of called himself a journeyman, he was 10-8 at the time and Catley was 7-0.
The win earned Colarusso a British title shot, he was stopped by Neville Brown after giving the champion a tough night.
Also Sugar Gibiliru was 12-27-7 when he got a shot at the British Superfeather title against class boxer Robert Dickie, but Gibiliru upset the odds to win in a big upset.

Great call.
Another one I've just remembered in Najib Daho beating Pat Cowdell. Daho was a b it more than a journeyman at that point, but nonetheless he was 29-18 at the time.

I was there that night, Carlo is a pal of mine too, great win for him, proper hard case but proper nice guy too.
