30-Day Weights: Canelo Alvarez 168.2, Daniel Jacobs 175.4
Both boxers passed the pre-weigh in, 30 days prior to this mega combat.
Pre-fight weigh-ins are taken at the 30, 14 and 7 day mark, prior to a fight recognized by the WBC. The sanctioning body requires them in order to prevent sudden dehydration that causes serious damage to boxers.
Demonstrating his discipline and commitment, Canelo was way under the 30-day mark, coming at 168.2 pounds, which is comfortably below the limit of 176 pounds as required by the WBC.
Jacobs was heavier, but still below the 30 day mark - coming in at 175.4-pounds.

I saw that on their current weights. I wasn't too surprised by them. Still 4 weeks to go.

David Lemieux (40-4, 34 KOs) will make his 168-pound debut when he takes on John "The Gorilla" Ryder (27-4, 15 KOs) in the scheduled 12-round co-main event of Canelo vs. Jacobs.
The card will also feature the returns of Vergil Ortiz Jr., Pablo Cesar "El Demoledor" Cano, Joseph "JoJo" Diaz Jr., Sadam "World Kid" Ali and Lamont Roach Jr., in separate bouts. The event will take place Saturday, May 4 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and will be streamed live exclusively on DAZN.
"There comes a time when every fighter must move up in weight, and now is that time for David Lemieux," said Oscar De La Hoya, Chairman and CEO of Golden Boy. "Lemieux was the hardest-hitting puncher in the 160-pound division, and I'm absolutely certain he will be the biggest puncher at 168 pounds. John Ryder will be in for a tough fight on May 4. Also, this undercard will feature some of our brightest stars, including Vergil Ortiz Jr., who with only 12 fights will face a tough veteran in Mauricio Herrera. Golden Boy and DAZN have crafted an excellent night of action, so don't miss out on this one!"
"I've seen [John] Ryder fight," said David Lemieux. "He's a credible rival, but I'm going to make a statement out of what I'm going to do with him. At 168, I'm going to be the strongest that I've ever been."
Ryder is a 30-year-old native of London who is the No. 1 contender for the WBA Super Middleweight Title. Ryder has faced tough opposition, including a close fight against Rocky Fielding and a tough battle against Billy Joe Saunders. The "Gorilla" is coming off a seventh-round technical knockout win against previously undefeated Andrey Sirotkin, and he'll look to retain his shot at the title with a win against Lemieux.

Joseph Diaz Jr. was gunning for a title shot in his next fight but will instead have to settle for the brother of a former title challenger.
For his part on the DAZN-streamed show, Diaz will take on Freddy Fonseca (26-2-1, 17KOs), a 27-year old southpaw from Nicaragua who will fight in the U.S. for the first time in his journeyman career.

Yeh. Was hoping it was normal sky sports.
I have a feeling if Canelo-GGG III happens it will be Sky PPV.
The first bout was Box-nation PPV, second bout was BT Box office.
Surprised Sky didn’t pick them up. Sky clearly have no love for the sport.
Yet showed Ward-Kovalev.

Yeah, am I right in remembering that B/N had a HD channel back then for the PPV with GGG/Canelo 1? Seem to recall buying/watching through that, might be wrong.

Yeh. It was a one off. Frank wanted to make it a permanent thing, but then sold his soul to BT instead, which wasn’t the worst move as he needed financial backing.

Canelo-Jacobs: Adalaide Byrd Included In NSAC's Judging Pool
Edit Report this post Quote
Post 1 minute ago
If you think the ludicrous scorecard Adalaide Byrd submitted for the first Canelo Alvarez-Gennady Golovkin fight would have eliminated her from consideration for judging another Alvarez fight, guess again.
BS.com has learned that Byrd was included in the pool of potential judges Nevada State Athletic Commission executive director Bob Bennett sent recently to representatives for Daniel Jacobs and Alvarez. Brooklyn’s Jacobs (35-2, 29 KOs) has been very open since signing to box Alvarez (51-1-2, 35 KOs) about the urgent need for the most competent group of judges possible to score their middleweight title unification match May 4 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Fighters and their teams have the right to contest the use of objectionable judges, but ultimately it is up to the NSAC to assign judges to fights in Nevada. Typically, the NSAC has acquiesced once objections are made in order to avoid conflicts once fights are scored.
Byrd’s inclusion in the Alvarez-Jacobs pool is particularly perplexing because she scored Alvarez a 118-110 winner over Golovkin in a 12-round middleweight title fight in which Golovkin was at the very least extremely competitive with Alvarez in September 2017 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Nevada’s Byrd strangely scored 10 of those 12 rounds for Alvarez, who lost 115-113 on the scorecard of Nevada’s Dave Moretti. Connecticut’s Don Trella scored the first Alvarez-Golovkin fight a draw (114-114), which rendered it a split draw.
Moretti and Trella also are among the judges Bennett included in the pool for Alvarez-Jacobs. BS.com has been informed that Jacobs’ team has objected to Trella working his fight against Alvarez as well.
When asked by BS.com about the potential judges for his fight versus Alvarez, Jacobs didn’t name names. He did, however, indicate that the inclusion of one judge in particular, presumably Byrd, is not up for debate.
“I’ve had my opportunity to think about it,” Jacobs said. “I was presented with the pool of judges that they gave to us. And I think it was laughable at first. There was definitely one that was automatically out, once we got the list. But, you know, I expressed to my team what I felt about not only the judges, but the options of the referees we have.
“I’m just looking forward to getting an honest chance. That’s really all I want – just a true, honest chance. I don’t want any advantage. I don’t want any favoritism towards me. I just want a fair chance to go in there and fight the fighter they consider to be the best in the middleweight division and prove myself. But I don’t want any influence outside the ring to manipulate the decision or what happens inside there.”
Jacobs, who arrived in Las Vegas on Tuesday, is well aware of the judging history of Alvarez’s fights in that city.
“It’s definitely something that plays in the back of my mind,” Jacobs said. “But I don’t let it manifest. It’s just one of those things where I know that if I do what I have to do, which I totally see being 100-percent possible, then there’s gonna be no doubt. And then, if I knock Canelo Alvarez out, to some people it’ll be a miracle. But I’m not foreign to those things anyway.”

Rumor on the street is Danny has been working his jab. Heard that Lennox Lewis and Wladimir were both flown to help Jacobs improve his jab. Canelo won't know what to do against the best jab in boxing right now.
