5 of the guys in our ratings have tested positive, not just miller
Yeah, but the others have tested clean and fought since, haven't they? I'd assume once Miller does the same, he'll be eligible again as long as people vote him back in.

There will be several HW fights before we vote on the Miller issue I imagine. I'll figure it out then.

In light of Miller's third failed test and third banned substance, I think we should vote on new standings.

Right on Oggie :salut:
I don't even want to see his name polluting our list. 3 strikes and yer out!

As much as it pains me there is no getting away from the fact that a lot of the top heavies have been caught using, and no doubt a lot more are going to be caught using in the future. Banning them and allowing them back when they pass a test is a token gesture.

Ban them altogether and you're going to get really odd and weak looking rankings. and fans will be deprived of some great fights.

I don't know what the answer is. I wouldn't like to see the authorities turn a blind eye to it, because this will encourage greater use of PEDs but I would like our rankings to reflect results in the ring, and leave the policing and the implementing of punishment to be of concern to the boxing authorities and not to us.

Just my two penn'orth.

It's a really difficult one to figure out. I 100% see your point of view Candy, but maybe we need to take one step back (having a weak rankings list) to take two steps forward (better integrity and culture around drugs).

The one thing I do not get is why oh why take the substances (I mean being caught on three different substances) when you're being regularly tested by VADA and just about to become rich in the ring.

That (your second paragraph) is totally beyond my comprehension. How the hell did Miller think he'd get away with it? I can only think that maybe he had given up juicing for the fight but underestimated how long the stuff remains detectable in the body. Having said that I'm sure I heard the latest result showed a substance they reckon only sticks around for 24 hours whiich demolishes my theory.

As for our rankings reflecting fighters who cheat, or rather who have been caught cheating, It's going to get very complicated even keeping a track of who's banned, for how long, who's due for reinstatement and so forth. Leave it to the powers that be I say.
