But you can say easily, whatever anyone is being offered, it will STILL be a career high purse.

I can't see why Ortiz wouldn't take a career high purse and go out on his shield. Doesn't make sense to decline the fight if the money is right.

Again, we have no idea how much he'd make, nor do we know if a promise was actually made. For all we know, Ortiz may still be posturing on this fight. He's the only one who can make this event worth the ticket price.

My guess is eddie is full of shit. Hunter is already signed and his "offers" to the others are ludicrously low so he can play a card of "look i tried to get a name opponent bit everyone is scared of joshua" card

On the other hand a 2 time drug cheat is probably also unable to pass a test

An interesting perspective from Boxing Squared was that Hayman is behind the decline so he can hold onto the WBC belt in the PBC family for as long as possible. (I.E. Wilder vs Ortiz). I don't know, but if Ortiz was offered anything north of $3 million, it's just plain stupid.
