Helenius has more power than Martin? i doubt so
Yes, along with being infinitely better in every single regard.

I wouldn't. I'd pick Helenius, although I find it a pretty close matchup.

You are right, sad as that is.
Sad, eh? ... I guess that's one way of putting it. Another might be "shameful"

I agree. People forget this. He's no world beater but he's respectable. He's shared the ring with a few top 25~ fighters and has only lost twice, going the distance with Whyte in the process. He beats all of Kownacki's previous opponent's in my opinion.
At one point (Rnd 2 I believe) before he injured his hand and retreated into his shell as I recall, I thought he was going to knock out Whyte. As a fan of Dillian I was fearful for him. He seemed very stiff-legged. He recovered well but by that time Helenius was in survival mode.

I agree that Martin is better. Helenius is dreadful. Of course so are Martin and kownacki.

And then you'd lose your money and your confidence.
Never bet on a guy who picks his feet up when he throws punches.

I'd also advise never to bet on a guy that doesn't throw punches.

Kownacki's footwork and punching technique is terrible too. Weak generation of HW's, not much better than previous one.

This is much worse than the previous generation. And you're correct about Kow, which is why I favor Helenius over him too. Kow at least has workrate and heart which would make a match against Helenius interesting. Martins only shot against Helenius would be RH suffering yet another injury, which is a very real possibility given how snakebit he's been over his career.

Kownacki will swarm Helenius to death. He's just there to have another "W" for his proposed KO loss with Wilder.

I hope this fight happens.
If Helenius gets full camp before the fight and does not injure himself in the bout I see him knocking the stuffings out of Kownacki.
The difference in boxing skills is huge and Helenius has plenty of power to but the fat pole to sleep.
I hope this happens

Helenius can have the best camp of his life. Kownacki's endless punch output will overwhelm him. Not a big Kow fan, but that's how I see it.

I like them both and I'd rather not see them fight each other. I like Helenius' viking entrance! I thought that when he came back after his long layoff he might get back to his earlier form when he was a top contender, and I still consider the possibility that he still might do so. On the other hand I think Kow is terrific and I especially like him because he doesn't look at all the part. He has been super impressive, as in his fight with Szpilka when he set the record for most heavyweight punches landed in a round, and in his demolition of Washington. I think Kow will swarm the big viking but I allow the possibility that the viking will pull a KO upset. But I'd rather they each found someone else to fight.

I think whatever Helenius had is now just embers. He's a spent force.

Still a pretty high level gatekeeper even now though I really did think he had whyte hurt early in their fight.

I have been posting this before but here it is again.
Helenius took the Whyte fight on short notice and was having flu just before that.
Here is the after fight interview.
Still he wen't full rounds with Whyte and hurt him couple of times. Hes is way underrated.
Kownacki on the other hand throws lot of arm punches. Look at hes feet when he is throwing. Hes not getting power from the legs to those shots. Yes he can swarm lot of weaker opponents and look good on those kinds of fights.
Helenius however doesn't crack or panic under pressure. Has good chin to eat the few that lands and more importantly has the power to take out almost anyone who decides to stand and trade with him.
I don't see Kownacki winning that fight.
P.s. Teper fight was decent payday for me

helenius did hurt whyte early but then just strangely backed off and decided to go survival. that type of thing defo gets your susipcions up about the effort someone will put in vs an opponent really goiinng for them like kownacki does
still
remember people
iago kiladze put kownacki in the hospital and turned his face to mush. kownacki barely beat chuck martin. i still wud not put it past him to have issues with helenius. i mean so he blew out szpikla and washington, had tough fights with kiladze and martin. i dont think that exactly makes it totally clear that helly is eazy work.

No it won't be easy, I never said that. I know it was only Washington but Kownacki showed decent power in getting him out of there, and I'm sure he outworks Helenius. I haven't watched the interview but from memory I think it was claimed that Helenius hurt his hand which is why he became so timid against Whyte, but I don't think his stamina is anything to write home about these days either.

Robert Helenius was in the UK (Sheffield) training with Anthony Joshua (engaging in daily eight round sparring sessions) seven weeks before his fight against Dillian Whyte. He knew he was being lined-up to face ‘The Bronze Bomber’ six weeks before they fought.
There’s something not quite right about what he’s said. He clearly had more than one week to prepare for the Whyte bout.
