He has to get through price first.
Dave Allen
Re: Dave Allen
Pretty confident that Allen will be ranked in a org top 15 if he wins this one.

Re: Dave Allen
Allen comes across as a gentleman and a switched on guy, even if he likes to act the clown and say daft sh1t, I like people like that, their my cup of tea, hate serious people who tweet the same old cringeworthy cheeseball tweets, makes me sick in my mouth, he's a bit of a pisstaker and lifes too short for being a boring fart
What I will say though is that theres so many drug cheating , PED head juicing fvckers in boxing that its nigh on possible to not befriend or work with them, whether its fighters, promoters, trainers it doesn't matter, its rife and disgusting
Whenever someone like Allen or Eddie criticise cheats you'll always get a bunch of helmets calling them hypocrites, maybe they'd be best to all bury their heads in the sand and not mention it, in an ideal world the top promoters like Hearn, Warren and Co should point plank refuse to work with them but boxings a bigger sh1tfest than the Middle East, who really gives a fvck anymore?

Nice post. I've gotten to be a fan of Allen. More for the man than the fighter, but I believe if he can continue to be more dedicated and have proper training, at 27, there's room for improvement. We already know he's tough as nails.handsofstone wrote: ↑28 May 2019, 14:08 Allen comes across as a gentleman and a switched on guy, even if he likes to act the clown and say daft sh1t, I like people like that, their my cup of tea, hate serious people who tweet the same old cringeworthy cheeseball tweets, makes me sick in my mouth, he's a bit of a pisstaker and lifes too short for being a boring fart

Re: Dave Allen
Exactly mate not everyone has world class potential, nobodies interested these days if your not world class, British and Commonwealth is a massive achievement even if the latter gets devalued more and more these days
You've got to love the guys, mainly the Brits, not so much on here, even if there's disagreements on here, most people put their arguments over well, Twitter on the other hand is a playground for idiots, you get guys posting on how they love promoters like Steve Goodwin, Steve Wood, Steffy Bull etc( great promoters BTW) and how they love the small hall shows, competitive fights and what not, then they watch a big show from Sky/BT and if someone struggles against someone they were meant to beat, they deem them poo and that they wont be watching them again
Conor Benn gets unbelievable grief, he'll never be his dad, probably wont reach world level and gets overhyped by Sky, I personally couldn't give a sh1t what level he reaches, he's good value more often than not , he'll be in some exciting fights win or lose, I love the smooth slickters as much as I anyone but you need the ying and the yang, if Benn came up the way like Eggington or Welborn he'd be a cult favourite

I like this post although don’t agree with all of it
Not everyone can be a world champion, in fact it’s a tiny percentage. Imo an area title is a massive achievement, let alone the commonwealth or British!
Re: Dave Allen
with benn theres a perception he just gets opportunities because of his family , not because hes worked hard on a long journey to his spot or because of genuine talent, ppl hate that type of thing
Re: Dave Allen
Watching Benns fights, I think he would be popular whoever he was.
The first fight against the Frenchman was as exciting a fight as I have seen in a long time.

Re: Dave Allen
Yeah it's a bizarre post to make. I don't know where Jim is getting his information from, but UK population will not be declining, nor will property value. Both things are only going to go up.coneye wrote: ↑05 May 2019, 20:44 Weve discussed this on another thread , at his age , he can go blow his money , on wine women song and drugs , fancy holidays with his mates and raves in Tenerife , OR he can buy a few properties , rent them out and sit back and wait for the next boom and natural growth , in value , unless he has the brains of course for other investments , but being who he is i doubt very much he had a uni education so property is safe . . Anyway your wrong about the population declining from 2035 , thers a trend now for the western world to open up to the african and middle eastern world and thats not gonna stop
Re: Dave Allen
i notice some ppl get really sensitive about dave, like if you say your not a fan and find him reptitive rattles are thrown out the pram
Re: Dave Allen
Dave has always been popular. Good lad. I think. Just his bad habits out the ring were letting him down .like not training. I think he is better than gorman. They did throw Dave in early with very good fighters.which maybe lead him to think he is just going to be a journey man. The white rhino is improving now he is Knuckling down .
Re: Dave Allen
I guess that confirms his plans. If he manages to deal with Price then he will be in with a shout of beating Hammer in my opinion. Hammer is probably the better boxer but he is beatable. Then i'm guessing Allen thinks he can avoid Povetkin's power in the first half and hope Povetkin's stamina and chin will have aged badly. Atleast he's confident and willing to take on guys who he know are better than him but i don't see this going as smoothly as he hopes.
In addition, Bracamonte, who Allen struggled with last year, is facing Romanov in a few weeks. Will be interesting to see if he puts up as much of a fight in that one. Could be seen as a yard stick to compare Allen i guess
