Yeah, people will be highly critical of him, and I'm sure he'd feel horrible. But, that's on him.

As far as censoring speech. I'm not for it. If we start censorship with this, who knows how far it'll go.

I believe in free speech, but fighters shouldn't be allowed to bite the hand that feeds them by bringing the sport into disrepute, whereby the consequences of their actions could adversely affect the earning potential and social standings of their peers.

None of us truly have free speech. We all censor our actions and words based according to the environment.

Those that don't are unfortunate sufferers of Tourette's Syndrome.

Maybe the boozing was self-medicating. Sounds like they had a lot of issues.

Lifelong issues, mate, before and after. Almost everyone I know avoids the pair of 'em.

I'm pretty sure I'd retire if I fought as a pro and hurt anyone badly. But then that's probably why I've never fought as a pro!

I think it helps to get into boxing early before this ever feels like a possibility. I never thought about permanent injuries as a teen.

Perhaps Deontay Wilder should sit down with either Nigel Benn or Chris Eubank before he spouts off again about inflicting serious injury or death on one of his opponents...
