In my opinion Reid 'lost' because the referee was bribed (money and whores) by Ottke's promoters, and basically did not allow him to box.

Jeez Bubi. You actually believe that Ottke won the Reid fight fair and square? You should be sectioned.

That fight was probably the worst thing i've ever seen in the ring. The ref was clearly paid off (i can't be sued if i speak the truth), and i'm pretty sure that the judges were in someone's pocket as well. Reid was warned several times after landing legimate punches, and Ottke milked every little supposed indiscretion to it's full potential. From the halfway stage you can see that Reid had given up because he knew he wasn't going to win no matter what he did. My feeling is that if he'd have landed the perfect punch, and knocked Ottke out (which i must confess, i was really hoping for), then he would have been DQ'd.

You can swallow the spin and you can dress the fight up however you want. But the fact is that fight was fixed. As i'm sure some of Ottke's other "victories" were.
