We got:
Golovkin/Rolls
Oscar Valdez/Jason Sanchez - Might be a good watch
And for all you trivia fans:
Demsey McKean vs Curtis Harper (who is the guy who walked out of the ring vs Ajagba)
Looks like a weekend of baseball.

I'm looking forward to the following thread bumps
Is Golovkin the best middleweight ever?
Is Golovkin the most overrated middleweight ever?
Golovkin won both fights with Alvarez
Golovkin lost both fights with Alvarez
Golovkin is ducked/a ducker
Loeffler mismanaged Golovkins career
Loeffler should have had a world class back up in case Alvarez failed a drugs test
Eating mexican meat is a perfectly good excuse for failing a drug test.
At least it will push the Joshua threads down a few pages!!

Hearn or whoever his matchmaker is f'd up big time...I know hindsight is 20/20 but choosing a replacement that just fought a month earlier and is in fighting shape no matter what his weight was and a far more dangerous opponent than Miller...I understand giving us a credible top 10 opponent but you give your boy a softer touch for his American debut and get him an early Ko..find a body that's been inactive and shopworn.. kinda what GGG did with martisroysan..
I also think an immediate rematch could be a mistake...get a tuneup confidence back win before Ruiz again...

Yeah and maybe that's what Joshua's dad was pissed off about, rather than any of the out there theories.

Nary a soul in the boxing world figured the matchup to be a mistake. Ruiz had a magic moment so to speak. The stars were aligned. An immediate rematch is the proper call here. Telling AJ he needs a tuneup helps his confidence how? He has five or six months to work whatever it is he needs to work on. He'll take the rematch, IF he is what we ALL thought he was before the upset. Let's not fool ourselves into thinking any of us (bar wee few) smelled any of this coming. I think the only one who openly picked Ruiz in the entire forum was Boxing Rocks.

Ruiz isnt a big punche at all.. Yes hes a good boxer but hes never been too ambitious in the ring, hes fat, and has recently lost some rounds against kingpin Johnson. His best win was against Dimintrenko. He was a good late replacement opponent but safe in everyone's mind
Joshua just was completely scrambled by that left hook. Whether it was a perfect shot or joshua punch resistance is really poor will be confirmed in the rematch

I may not have picked Ruiz but I had some doubts...it was a mistake to pick a better more dangerous fighter than Miller as a replacement..the guy just came off a good win against dimitrenko, a guy that's similar size to AJ and a close loss to Parker..the guy could fight and has heart..your saying Ruiz got lucky? I disagree..I think he beats him again..some of the members on here thought AJ was the best heavyweight ever..but I see a ton of flaws

Hardly anyone, including me, said Ruiz got lucky. Happy to hear you had your 'doubts.'

"the stars were aligned"..
Means he got lucky, no?
I don't mean to jump.on AJ but the point I'm trying to make is Hearn and his team made a mistake by bringing in a more dangerous opponent than the original and judging by the result that seems to be the case

Stars aligned doesn't necessarily mean luck, it means circumstances were "such that." Including the substitution for Miller as you said. Miller happened to be a cocktail drinker; no one else was really available; Ruiz was selected (if not in America maybe someone else would've been); First fight in America (and outside UK, if I"m not mistaken); the pressure of DAZN having so much invested in the event and outcome; etc. An amazing event. I'm still stoked.
