keep the lead hand higher and dont throw a single body jab. ruiz was catching him with those looping shots when ajs left hand was much too low. the original shot that hurt him in round 3 seemed to leave an effect aj never got off

aj can win rounds outboxing him at range and can drop him on his ass. its a winnable fight with the right adjustments but can he make them

rematch being in uk will prob help aj a bit too id imagine if there were mental weaknesses.

Ruiz must be smart enough to make his demands, especially on the place of the fight.

Not really, cardio is known to strip muscle mass, Boxing is a hell of a cardio workout.

In theory he could run, spar, do bag work and circuit training every day and within a few months he should have lost a fair bit of muscle mass, increased his speed and improved his stamina.

It wouldn't necessarily guarantee he wins the rematch, but it certainly couldn't hurt.

He would need to establish the jab, everything works off the jab. If he can't get the jab going those belts are staying with the big man.

The variables;
1, how badly does AJ want to continue
2, what will 5 months of having lots of money do to Ruiz
3, how well will Ruiz travel- he lost to Parker in NZ
4, who will adapt best for the rematch

I think all those points have a bearing on how the rematch goes.

You've got to think that AJ will have worked on a lot of his game by then. I can see him thundering jabs off Ruiz's forehead and doing a better job of establishing proper distance to allow his advantages to shine through. Being 'patient' AJ and waiting for his opportunities rather than trying to force them. AJ in 8. There, I said it.

Ruiz will fight the same fight that he fought from a couple of rounds in.

Waiting for Joshua to commit then fast counter attacks.

It all depends on whether Joshua was at or near 100% entering the ring or whether there was something amiss beforehand, either a KO or sparring or an illness or a panic attack. If there was something amiss I fancy him to bounce back and beat Ruiz in the re-match but if he was at or near 100% then he's losing again.
