Bobick was "the great white hope", trained by Joe Frazier, and undefeated. Muhammad Ali thought Bobick would win--- and when he didn't, instead of honoring the contract to fight Ken Norton for a fourth time, instead chose Leon Spinks.
Many thought maybe the Norton loss was something of a fluke. Norton did clock Bobick in the throat after all. So when Bobick lost to John Tate, that was also something of an upset. It showed once and for all that Bobick was basically all hype.
Anyways.... We agree to disagree....
Jersey Joe Walcott vs Joe Louis
Part time fighter, part time garbage man (literally) Jersey Joe Walcott was certainly no bum, however, he was so avoided and oftentimes fought hurt that he basically fell off the radar as being any serious threat to the beloved Louis.
Initially scheduled as an exhibition bout (which shows you how little people thought of Walcott at the time) the commission refused to allow it unless the title was on the line.
The underdog was slicker, quicker and craftier than Louis and by majority consensus was robbed of the heavyweight title. For the first time in Louis's career since the first Schmeling fight he was booed. Louis wanted an immediate rematch (to his credit) to dispell all notions he wasn't the champion and managed to kayo Walcott after being dropped himself.

Just because you say Ali thought Bobick would win, doesn't make it an upset. It wasn't. Norton was the clear favorite.
Louis won the first fight, even if many thought he shouldn't have. So that is a near upset.
Look up the word upset and the word shocking; that may help you.
Honestly, there are scores of shocking upsets that you could use. You don't need to come up with one fight after another than wasn't.

If a guy was considered a no hoper like Walcott was and had to be robbed to lose, then it's certainly an upset. You pick and choose what you want.

Definition of an upset:An upset occurs in a competition, frequently in electoral politics or sports, when the party popularly expected to win (the favorite), either loses to or draws/ties a game with an underdog whom the majority expects to lose, defying the conventional wisdom.
This isn't just a matter of opinion. The underdog can't lose for it to be an upset. Doesn't matter if it was a bad decision how close it was. You can call it a surprise. It's not an upset if the underdog loses. That is a fact.

There is no agree to disagree. Norton was the universal #1 contender in the world and considered by many the uncrowned champion. He was a 2 to 1 favorite in the fight. It's not a shocking upset. You're wrong.

It was a step up fight at the time for Bobick, and he wasn't the favorite. The stunning thing was that it ended so abruptly. Duane claimed he got punched in the throat or something like that. It was dreadful.
