Last time I bought a PPV was Fury-Wilder. The last time before that was maybe Ruiz-Jones. The time before that, other than WrestleMania, was Tyson-Lewis.
I'm sorry, but it's criminal to charge more than $50 for a PPV. Boxing is the richest sport there is. Makes more money than the NFL, NHL, MLB, NASCAR and NBA.
If they weren't such pirates and bastards themselves, maybe I would buy more ppv's. But Bunce isn't going to guilt trip me with the "PPV goes to the fighters" bullshit because they're lucky to get even 5% of that and they have guaranteed money anyways.

IF YOU ACTUALLY GAVE A DAMN about fighters potentially dying and having less money, then you ought to try and empower men like Gerry Cooney whose been trying for years and years to get a boxing retirement fund into practice.

Considering Conor McGregor made more money in one bullshit boxing match than his entire MMA career combined.... I don't think so.... That was just ONE of the several promotions worldwide in boxing.... Collectively boxing makes more money than any other sport.

I doubt that boxing makes more than any other sport. I've never seen it in the top five of highest grossing sports or highest revenue in the last couple of decades.

I agree. Only the Mayweathers, Pacquiaos, Joshua’s etc make any serious money. Most fringe/sub world level guys will be making nowhere near other sports, NHL, NBA, MLB using Henry’s examples will be making serious wedge.

No way boxing sniffs soccer or football. Dazn is losing money hand over fist. The NFL is probably in the 15-20 billion a year range for revenue.

I saw that and Horse racing; NHL, FOOTBALL (Soccer) and MLB in the top of the list. Didn't see boxing.

As of 2018 after the ESPN deal the UFC has a net worth of $7 billion dollars.
Bob Arum.... $300 million.... That's just himself.... Not TR.... Hell Michael Buffer is worth $400 million....
Canelo not long ago signed a $365 million dollar deal, which IS the biggest in combat sports history.... De La Hoya himself is worth $200 million dollars.... And again this isn't even referring to the actual worth of the promotions.
Matchroom itself just did a $1 billion dollar deal with DAZN.... Hearn himself is worth £20 million dollars.... Al Haymon is worth $15 million.... again, these figures are not even the promotions worth.
I think it goes without saying that the promotions have to be at least three-four times the worth of the promoters. And that's not including all the smaller promotions worldwide, let alone USA-BOXING and other amateur groups that rake in money every year in untold numbers.
The UFC bigger than all the boxing promotions all over the world, big and small? Bullshit. Boxing is still the richest sport in the world. Nobody throws around $100 million unless you've got at least a billion at your disposal.

You proved nothing, I'm sorry to say. Boxing doesn't do $10 billion per year or anything close to it. Those earnings and lofty contracts are over many years. Mayweather/Paq grossed 410 million and is still the highest in boxing history. You'd need 20+ of them in a single year to even be close to the other sports mentioned in gross revenue.

Not shockingly your math is incredibly flawed. Floyd was the highest paid athlete in the world but do you seriously think he has more money than Robert Kraft? You're talking career earnings for top guys and promoters. Their poor compared to owners of franchises in major sports. Lots of boxing cards lose money, no NFL games do. Not even talking about the billions in college football where players don't get paid. The ufc is more profitable than boxing. By a lot.

Falling on deaf ears...again. The boxing industry makes about $5-6 billion per year according to IBIS world, who stated that in 2018 the industry saw gains of $348.4 million or 6.1%. I merely did the math to figure the total.

I know enough to know that each franchise in the NFL, NBA, MLB is basically worth $1 billion a piece. NHL I'm not so sure of but it's probably half that.
NBA has 30 franchises.
NFL has 32 franchises.
MLB has 30 franchises.
NHL has 31 franchises.
NASCAR is basically worth $5.7 billion and is owned by 20 family members. WWE is basically worth $1.6 billion (as of 2016) though McMahon himself is worth $3.2 billion dollars.
I'll admit that I'm way off base with the "boxing makes more money than the NFL, NHL, NBA, NASCAR, MLB" comment--- and by alot--- but my general point was that the UFC itself (not MMA in general) is not bigger than all of boxing.
These promotions in boxing are worth as much if not more so than $1 billion dollars a piece. Collectively they have to be bigger than the UFC.

The UFC got 1.5 billion for 5 years and 150 shows. That doesn't include ppvs. The sheer volume of boxing would produce more money, not more profit.

Boxing "revenues" are 5-6 Billion per year. Is the UFC 1.5 billion the only contract existing?

Depends on how likely the deep pockets behind the promotion is willing to fill into the hole I'd guess. The CEO of DAZN was ringside for the AJ/Ruiz fight and didn't look very happy.
