I watch the content of the Mayweather Boxing Channel quite regularly. It's very entertaining, but they are very nationalistic. If an American fighter is involved, a lot will always come down on the side of the American on that channel, so it's not surprising that at least one person interviewed would go for Ruiz in the gym.

I got Shawn’s autograph in 1982!!!!! Last one I EVER asked for.... he wasn’t very nice at all, although that was his image. He’s still fairly young but has really, really suffered from the head trauma. It’s quite tragic. Obviously, Manny is past it. But Thurman is 100% hype and media creation....... the weird thing is, I don’t understand why.

Boring fights, ineffective running style.... I don’t get why he’s become such a darling. He seems A LOT gun shy.... Manny will let ‘em fly, Manny still seems to “Love” to fight, Certainly can’t say the same about “OneTime”.

While I agree that Pac still seems to love doing it, while I can't say the same for Thurman. I think we're going to be seeing a particularly motivated Thurman for this bout. This is the biggest fight of his career up to this point, and I'm sure he'll be approaching it as such mentally. I don't think he'll be running as much in this contest given that he'll be so much bigger than Pacquiao. He'll probably be emboldened to be more aggressive than usual actually given Pac's age, and everything else, and again the fact that it's the biggest fight of his career to date, and a chance to beat an aging Legend.

As good as Thurman is capable of being at this point, he'll be it on that night. As for whether or not it'll be enough we'll just have to wait and see, but I think it's a yes. He has more left in him than Pac does, and he's the naturally bigger, stronger man.

That is exactly right. Some will pick his compatriot almost every time. That's their prerogative, but it does make correctly picking an upset more likely, compared to someone who predicts the winner logically and objectively.

I was kidding a little bit, of course, I never hate.

Honestly, I thought about two ways considering Joshua vs. Ruiz. I had no dilemma about the winner (Joshua).
1. Klitschko-Pulev type of fight
2. Klitschko-Jennings type of fight

Klitschko = Joshua

So, I admit that i had been wrong.
My first mistake ? Of course not.
My last mistake ? I hope not.

Regardless of anyone’s thoughts about the Mayweather channel, the people being interviewed are full-time professionals involved in the sport of boxing that mix with world-rated talent, which means they should be considered as experts in the field of boxing.

But the fact remains is that there were a minority of boxing experts that were certain that Andy Ruiz Jr. would beat Anthony Joshua. And I proved that this was the case - no one can say otherwise, since the evidence is irrefutable in nature and can be viewed by anyone with two fully-functional eyes and ears!!!

Well first of all , I'm not a boxing expert , and i'm not a writer or tv pundit , , Also i never predicted anything because in all honesty i had not seen much of Ruiz at all , he sort of flew under the radar for me and i like most others really thought he was being brought in too lose in a good fashion .

Lets jump forward to now , and my prediction is , Josh can beat Ruiz , but not in his present shape , IF and its a big IF , he can give the weights away , concentrate on his footwork speed , and jab , he is big enough to hurt Ruiz , but its a big IF , simply because he will not change , and if he does'nt he gets beat by Ruiz 9 out of 10 , the 10th would be he lands a big one ,

WHY ---- Hand speed , we all agree Ruiz has it , chin , we agree on that has well ,, durability and will to win , again i think most would agree .

But for me and like i said i'm no expert , but for me not to many are discussing the biggest asset Ruiz has , and thats his feet , he has fast feet , he can push himself inside the pocket , close Josh down and move out a lot faster than anyone else josh has fought , he's not a sluggish slow walk forward heavyweight , look at how he uses the feet to apply pressure , this has come from years and years of training , and training the old fashioned way , and thats in the ring , i've not seen him train but i would genuinly doubt you have seen him on rowing machines , pushing weights , with his nutritionist , holding the left bar while the weight trainer holds the right bar , , touching a drum set pad for hand eye coordination to measure the fast twitch of the eye in coordenation with the slow twitch of the left bicep , and all that crap .

No while AJ is looking in the mirror up in Sheffield with all the experts looking on ,,, Ruiz was practicing the moves he's practiced since a kid , the step in slip , roll punch , jab , hook , all inb time with the feet , he's practiced his hooks going forward , sideward , backward , , he's practiced dancing in and dancing out , where it counts in a boxing gym .

That too me was a real life Rocky versus Drago , and the mexican Rocky has got AJ'S number , uness AJ changes tactics , gets off the weights loses some weight , and develops his power , to match his feet .

Just my veiw , but its only a view from a boxing fan on a boxing Forum . so take it with a pinch of salt

lol a forum i posted on years ago had a guy like that.....would always go for the upset and so therefor got more of them then most posters did. he bragged about it and liked to think it made him some sort of boxing brilliance

problem was of course, by going for the underdog so often his overall pick rate was dismal and constantly hed blow easy fights that everyone else got. but he just ignored that part of his brilliance lol

another guy mustve picked against wlad klit in like 20 straight fights and was always wrong, but didnt let that change his opinion. and then finally got it right for fury and wanted respect for it. nah, cant respect the 'broken clock twice a day method'
