it is difficult to objectively assess the situation not being an insider, the boxer saying this or that is just the tip of the iceberg..I'm not convinced at this point GGG went after Rolls while DAZN insisted on boxing Andraide..
Demetrius Andrade, Danny Jacobs, Jermall Charlo, Billy Joe Saunders and Sergiy Derevyanchenko would have all been capable of competing on DAZN.
Gennady Golovkin is self-managed and self-promoted. He is ultimately responsible for his own opponents’. He has been interviewed on multiple occasions and has consistently expressed his disinterest about facing any of those guys and I have provided proof of this on multiple occasions.
GGG doesn’t want to take any unnecessary risks that might scupper the Canelo jackpot. It’s as simple as that!
He’s a “businessman” and a veteran that is looking to secure one final huge payday. Gennadiy doesn’t want to take ownership of one of the world titles and have the sports’ governing bodies dictate to him who he should and should not fight next. He wants an easy ride until Canelo eventually agrees to the rematch.
..like I said earlier the businessman and still an excellent boxer GGG has his reasons to respond the way he does. I've heard nothing from him that would convince me he's NOT willing to fight good fights.
What he actually said was and I quote "I would like to fight good fights. Whether these fights are going to be championship fights or not, it’s not as important as the quality of the fight". No more and no less. No need to misinterpret that saying GGG is unwilling "to face awkward risky guys that won’t provide him with a huge payday"..
In fact he's been chasing one of them, the best according to many. In a situation where Canelo has been avoiding him at all costs, it is not easy to find an adequate opponent...
..btw, self-managed and self-promoted obviously doesn't exclude a very close coordination/cooperation with someone who foots the bill and that's what is happenning now...

There is when I provided another quote from GGG in this thread blatantly saying that he doesn't want to fight Andrade.
I provided others in other threads also.
I actually don't even know why you're arguing about this? Are you accusing GGG of being dishonest when he admits he's not interested in facing Andrade? Does it annoy you that he said it? How many videos and interview transcripts do you need?

Don't know if BJS is just bluffing to create some buzz to stay relevant but realistically how difficult would be this fight to be made and at what weight and if it would involve vada testing ?
Personally I think BJS is irrelevant atm and I'd like to see GGG fighting Andrade next.
What a sad bastard. Is the interview where he said “anyone but him”, when asked about whether he would fight GGG, still on YouTube or has it ‘disappeared’? Nobody wanted to fight Golovkin until he’d missed a step and got old and now he’s actually got a bit of money behind him out come the vultures. The funny thing is, Saunders has got a good chance against the increasingly mummified Golovkin, but I think it should be a case of anyone but Saunders right now. He hasn’t earned it, he’s repeatedly blown it.
Fight Callum Smith, Billy.
Perfectly put man. IMO, you lose the right to call someone out after publicly pussing out during GGG’s prime or thereabouts. In all honesty however, I think BJS would be my favorite to win a fight with G’s right now but not only does he not deserve it, as you say, but BJS has cancelled or postponed more than half of his last 10 bouts with one excuse or another. Anyone dumb enough to sign on with this guy better be financially comfortable enough to invest a year into getting this guy finally into the ring. No thank you if I’m GGG. I don’t even humor it.

There was once a time when GGG was an “anyone-anytime-anywhere” type of boxer, but according to his own employee, Tom Loeffler, Golovkin decided to walk away from fights against Billy Joe Saunders on two separate occasions, after the Brit had already agreed terms and signed contracts.
The reason for GGG withdrawing on both occasions, Canelo, regardless of any “official” excuses conveyed at the time. Gennadiy didn’t want to risk losing a huge payday opportunity.
If Gennadiy Golovkin doesn’t fight Canelo, then he won’t face anyone notable (as per the Vanes Martirosyan and Steve Rolls bouts), despite there being an abundance of talent competing at 160lbs.
I guarantee you that “The Businessman” GGG won’t fight a top guy if he can’t secure a bout against Canelo next.
GGG appreciates that he cannot afford to suffer a loss against the likes of Andrade, Saunders or Jacobs, because it’ll result in him missing out on the Canelo jackpot!
Please watch recent videos of GGG being asked to discuss potential bouts against the likes of Andrade, Jacobs or Saunders, as they’ll surely provide confirmation the words I’ve written in this post!
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but GGG is prioritising his commercial worth over his legacy.
At some point, his fans will start losing patience about the nature of his safety-first business decisions.
You’ve been driving this “I hate GGG” ice cream truck for a long time dude. One time, you’re bound to be correct but again, you’re wrong. GGG doesn’t owe a thing to fans and has no belt to adhere to mandatories so what a legendary boxer does with his heyday is completely up to him and him alone.
If you weren’t in your Moms basement commenting on boxing but a world class boxer that has given everything he had in this sport but had your legacy stripped away from you with 2 bad decisions, would you fight a young hungry tiger for peanuts? It’s rhetorical so no need to answer. You wouldn’t unless you were stupid.
GGG has earned the right to be picky at this point. As a champion, he never missed a mandatory and was stripped or missed out on the scale. He was THE perfect Middleweight Champion of the world and will go down as one of the greatest ever. He has the right to smirk at ur comments and stop reading them after a sentence or two. Like we all do to ur posts.

I don’t hate GGG, as I’ve always been very complimentary of him. No one can quote me saying anything that is derogatory about the man himself. You know you can't and you won't even try, because you know for certain your allegation is blatantly untrue.
That being said, whenever I feel that Gennadiy does something dubious or perhaps a tad hypocritical, given his reputation or history, then I always make a mental note of it. I don’t give him a free pass for doing things other fighters are criticised for.
There was a time when GGG was on the outside, perceived as being a high-risk/low-reward paper champ looking for a decent payday against an established star.
GGG preferred to face the Dominic Wade’s of this world rather than take risks and make the jump to a higher weight class (even though he often boasted of his capabilities of doing so), where it may have been easier to receive opportunities to engage in marquee bouts.
The likes of Saunders, Andrade and Charlo are currently in the same position.
The difference being is that Golovkin can do no wrong. The media loves him. And Canelo was shamed into facing him. Even if the Mexican had never fought him, GGG could have continued facing second-tier opposition, but his notoriety and legacy would still have continued to grow. His loyal fan-base would have continued to flourish.
Saunders, Andrade and Charlo aren’t given the benefit of the doubt. These guys are genuinely disliked. Imagine if one of those guys had fought Steve Rolls before GGG did? They would have become the laughing stock of the BoxRec forum community.
GGG’s fans are living in denial, since they choose to ignore the fact that he’s currently making business decisions motivated by financial reward, but yet the same individuals previously ridiculed his big-name peers for conducting themselves in precisely the same manner.
Even when I regularly quote GGG’s words time-and-time again, his die-hard fans will pretend he didn’t mean what he actually said, claiming instead that “something” was lost in translation or misinterpreted somehow (even when he's conveyed his thoughts via an intepreter).
I’ve never criticised boxers for making business decisions, since I’ve always doggedly maintained that they are known as “PRIZE fighters”, rather than “PRIDE” fighters, for a reason. And I always enjoy reminding GGG’s die-hard fans that Gennadiy is no different from any other fighter in that regard, but yet I’m perceived as being “a hater!”
GGG’s fans are employing double-standards and they don’t even realise they’re doing it!

You clearly need to look up the word “derogatory” because every single post that you’ve made that I’ve seen has been disparaging and some kind of criticism of the legend. So just own it and call it what it is. How anyone can slight this kid for anything that he’s done inside that ring or out is beyond me. If every boxer handled his career in the fashion that GGG did then this sport would be twice as entertaining than it is.
The kids goal was to be the best MW Champion of all time. His goals were not monetarily based but historically aimed. You’ve criticized him for not jumping up in weight while being MW Champion of the world hunting the record for most consecutive knockouts or most title defenses. Don’t you see how ridiculous that is to criticize a boxer for defending his title against every other MW in the world?
What boxing doesn’t need is a guy like Canelo who’s only goal is to collect divisional belts against the weakest champs with a strap and vacating belts left and right so he can chase money instead of treating these belts with some prestige and honor of holding and defending them like all of the greats have done. Canelo is a Spanish version of Floyd to the bone. Both have been free to exploit the sport with unfair favoritism and disregard for the treasured history of the sport. So you really need to figure out what you want as a fan of Boxing because if a career like GGG’s doesn’t appeal to you then you may Be better off voicing your opinion on another sport.

If that was truly the case, then it would only take a few seconds for you to quote any of my alleged “derogatory” words against GGG.
This is the second time I’ve asked you to do this, but you won’t do it, because you clearly cannot, since you already know for certain that your words are categorically untrue!
However, you’ll inevitably fabricate some sort of excuse to explain your inability to substantiate your allegations. Either that or you’ll conveniently ignore the challenge that I’ve issued on two occasions.
By the way, no one has been able to prove that I possess any real dislike for GGG.
And for the record, describing real-world events that actually happened, which is the only thing I’m guilty of, shouldn’t be regarded as being hateful, since facts don’t care about feelings.
