And they have the nerve to question Joshua or Wilders previous opponents? Lineal my ass,he lost his belts through failing drug tests lets not forget that so lineal status is void. As much as i like Tyson Fury since he came back these opponents are an absolute Joke,Tyson is a world class fighter not an up and coming prospect,he has been at the top of the mountain so should be fighting a world top ten fighter not these tesco value type brand of fighter, its a Joke

Absolute joke of an opponent, looks like the $$$$$$$ have clouded his judgement on who is a decent challenger for his ridiculous Lineal title.

Espn have already advertised this as for the lineal championship. Even Dave Allen’s recent wins makes him more worthy of that crown

How funny would it be to see Fury hit him after the bell and get disqualified

Otto Wallin, “lineal” champ!

What a terrible opponent. Makes Charles Martin look like a risk

Fury is walking a dangerous tightrope with Wallin. It is common knowledge that any bloke with the name Otto not.only has an 11 inch schlort in his y fronts but also carries a right hand from the depths of hell.

Brng it on. This will be mementos

Until the world Lineal boxing body improves their top ten rankings, I can’t really see opponents improve much.

It's actually a really good point though, all the blather about lineal somehow being the legit title, but its the only one that comes really without a single obligation. Hell, Fury could fight Eric Crumble in a defense if he wanted to

That’s why the “king” doesn’t want a belt.
If he beats Wilder in any rematch, he vacates imo.

Ortiz, Whyte and co would seem like too much hard work.

As good a fighter as Fury is, he’s no genuine champion.

Tyson, remembering his mistreatment by the ibf and press after the wlad win, has clearly thought 'fornicate boxing, I'm gonna use them and not let them use me'. And if that's the case, I can't blame him. I mean obv it's a disgraceful opponent and I wouldn't pay to watch it.... but hopefully all roads lead to wilder eventually. I will just vote with my feet until then.

Joshua beats Ruiz, Wilder then fights Joshua. Fury left fighting grade C/D heavyweights?

If that's the case, I can't see him being too upset by that. Given the money he's earning. Would prob claim that wilder avoided the rematch.

True. Part of his and his fans thought process is ‘if someone beats a fighter that means I’d obviously beat him too’. He doesn’t like getting his hands too dirty.

It’s a shame because who wouldn’t want to see him fight Parker, Whyte, Ortiz, Povetkin, Pulev etc?
What about Hrgovic if he likes facing green European fighters? Obviously Hrgovic is already a clear level above Schwarz and Wallin, but surely that’s a good thing?

His treatment wasn't that bad considering the fact he had the PED issues.

Fury enjoys playing the victim.

He wasn't mistreated, just felt sorry for himself because every man, woman and child didn't bow down and kiss his feet.

I don't mind Fury, but he comes accross as a very insecure human being quite often.

I was referencing prior to the PED issue. There were articles the following morning after his great win versus wlad saying how far heavyweight boxing had fallen. It was just uncalled for. It may not of been pretty, but no one had done that to wlad before. Then they fell over themselves to praise Joshua's performance 18 months later when he was put on his arse.

Then of course there was that IBF stripping him after two weeks, but making allowances for others.

All I'm saying is I can see why he may think 'fornicate the fans and fornicate the sport, I'm in this to earn maximum amount and fornicate off'. I can totally understand the fighter getting disillusioned with the sports and politics.

That's not to defend his opponent here obviously, it's a shocker.

Tyson is playing to the tune of the ridiculous deal he signed. They have to play ‘safe’ to protect the pot of gold which will be the Wilder rematch, Palau the extras if he wins.

I reckon personally he’d fight Wilder, AJ, and Ruiz on the same night and for fornicate all. But there is a time in your life you have to be sensible when it comes to your families financial future.

What I do worry about thought is Fury losing motivation himself and going off the boil as a result.
