"Perché lo stai aiutando ad alzarsi dalla tela? Perché non stai contando?" (Why are you helping him up from the canvas? Why are you not counting?)

"Perché la campana ha suonato così presto" (Why did the bell ring so early?)

"Perché hai dedotto un altro punto dal mio combattente" (Why have you taken another point from my fighter?)

"Non puoi arrestarmi, sono il secondo principale" (You can't arrest me - I'm the chief second).

And will the team be staying on in Florence for a few days to sample the culture? The Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Palace, Michelangelo's David? Full itinerary, please..
Hey Oliver the road trip was a lot of fun,
Hit the euro star early then went thru belgium and stopped at metz over night which was really a nice place,Next day hit switzerland where we got stopped and they tried to make us pay tax on taking Sams belts thru until one of the police went on a computer and realised they were sams actual belts then they just asked for pics with them and let us thru(probably would have been easier if sam was with us rather than flying lol)

The alps are incredible actualy have to see them to realise how good they are we stopped at few villages there for a look round and something to eat. When we came out of the alps took a detour to lake como for a coffee and a look around.

Arrived at the hotel around 6.30 and joined the lads for a bite to eat and the other teams were bemused by the fact wed just turned up in a car lol.

Had look round florence which really is an amazing city and took a 50 mile trip to Pisa for the obligatory shot with the Tower lol

Fight day and Sam was very focused and had been sparring very well with Liam Smith and David Avenyasan and we were pretty confident even though Orlandos two losses were a tight split decision and an 11 round loss when in front on pts both in euro title fights.

Sam got working pretty quickly and staying active with small fights did him the world of good as his timing was very good from the start.
Hurt him in the first then just literally let him be the Savage in the second and he got a good win away from and picked up the belt.A lot of people were surprised but we wasnt as even now Sam is a work in progress at 25 and always looking to improve which we believe he is.

Next day lads were upat 6 for the flight home and me and my pal who had joined me left after breakfast for the drive home.Took a different route and went along the coast towards Genoa which is either looking at the sea or crazy mountain road which was pretty cool.
Decided to have a look at monaco and had a drive round there for half hour before continuing along to Cannes.

Got a bit bored of the motorway and decided to cut thru French Alps at this stage which added few hours but was crazy for the roads and views the pics i took really didnt do it justice.
Found some to stop for food that over looked the mountain this was about 7 oclock and we did the maths that we could be to calais at around 3 am.There was a train at 4.20 am

Still buzzing from Sams win we thouhgt feck it lets keep goingand did the last 600 miles with out a stop hitting the euro star 30 mins before it left.
Walked through the door at 6.50 in the morning taking around 21 to 22 hours to get home.

Was well worth it and a great trip oh and during the french part of the return we picked up some hitchhikers who were going to a festival and they didnt quite beleive what we were doing :D

All in all a great week and on to Sam nexts challenge which could be anything looking ta how is career has gone.

Great stuff, Jon - was delighted to see Sam win so convincingly (he looked like the Sam of old there), and glad you had a fantastic trip. Perhaps these road trips are the way forward - plenty of British fighters earned very well in the 70s (although I am sure you are too young to remember) by going abroad and facing the fancied locals. Mind you, as a rule they tended to lose some pretty questionable points decisions, so Sam's approach of knocking them out may mean he doesn't get invited back. Still, it's a thought. What do you think is next for Sam, by the way?

Sam being Sam just wants the best fight out there is hes not one to try and protect a belt or a ranking so weel be looking for something that means something and no doubt probably risky but thats why its been such a roller coaster with him,

Been a couple mentioned and he said hes up for both so just waiting to see what comes from it.
