If you want to teach a guy to make his punches as hard as possible, you teach him the exact opposite of Fury's technique

A great puncher hits through his target and would leave himself open afterward.
So you really need confidence. Confidence that you will connect and confidence
that you can handle the counter if you don't.

Yeah the loose levers mean that most of the energy generated, is lost on impact. He also generally arm punches, rather than turning hip or shoulder into the shots.

He's only seemingly interested in winning by outboxing opponents.

Punching power is a form of physical strength, as is chin, I think that a better comparison would be muscle mass to punching power.

Muscularity can be a weakness.
