I can’t envisage a victory for ‘Del Boy’ in this one, despite his impressive recent performances against Artur Szpilka and Dillian Whyte, which may have been due to him changing his management and training teams.

Joseph Parker should win this one either by decision or late stoppage.

The Kiwi is very durable, possesses a great engine, can box and has quick hands. And I feel that a slugger like Dereck Chisora is tailor-made for Parker's fighting style.

I’d love to be proven wrong though, with the bout exceeding my expectations by being far more competitive than I currently anticipate, because I wouldn’t want Chisora to end his career suffering an embarrassing one-sided loss like his manager did.

He isn't pulling out of anything.

It's just something he does at pressers.

Name me a Chisora presser where he hasn't gone off one one?

He does it all the time. Whether he's saying he's pulling out? Not doing drug testing? Throwing a table over at a presser. It's not a Chisora presser without him doing or saying something memorable.

Very unprofessional of Chisora to start negotiating at the press conference. This sort of stuff should be sorted out before. He's been in the business long enough to know that.

Yeh. Am sure it was all negotiated before hand and he’s well aware who is main eventing. Trying to act all serious.

We all know by now what a presser with Chisora is like. It was very disrespectful.

Josh Taylor said he held back in saying anything because he knows what Del’s like:

If I was Josh Taylor, the IBF champ, fighting a unification bout against another undefeated fighter, I would've told Chisora to "shut the fukk up you stupid journeyman, you're lucky enough to get your picture on the bill after your ten losses.".

a) it's accurate and b) it would've blown up even more and been even more newsworthy.

Chisora put everyone off after his little rant. Taylor, may not be a man of words, but he hardly said anything. Barry was getting his words muddled up, He called Hooker Brooker I think it was. Hearn didn't know where to look. Adam Smith was trying to give a professional reply to Chisora, saying it's all good value for money. Kalle was probably thinking he needed to sniff something after that. Prog carried on speaking.

Joseph Parker's team agree with Derek Chisora's rant about bill

https://www.skysports.com/boxing/news/1 ... -at-the-o2

Joseph Parker's manager "agrees" with Derek Chisora's press conference rant, but says the New Zealander does not have any "ego issues" ahead of their heavyweight fight.

"Yeah I agree,"
Higgins told Sky Sports. "Parker-Chisora or Chisora-Parker as the Brits like to call it is a bigger attraction commercially, in terms of tickets sold at The O2 and viewing figures. It depends on how you are making the decision.

"Technically it [Prograis vs Taylor] is more elite in terms of titles, but in terms of fan favourites and exciting boxing matches, Parker-Chisora is the bigger event, so I agree with Chisora.

"That being said, our side don't really care as much. Joseph has never been one to have ego issues, or worry about stuff like that. He knows what the job is and it will be to punch Chisora in the face, and shut him up."

Higgins said: "It's a sign of problems in the camp and close to the fight. To lose his trainer this far out, and a trainer that appeared to be a good team, you've got to ask why?

"Our team is unified, professional and on the home track without any problems."

David Coldwell confirmed on social media that he could not split his time between his other fighters and travelling to London for Chisora's preparations.

Exactly.

Chisora loves money too much and if he pulls out, he gets zip and he wouldn't like that at all.

I find Chisora to be more scary outside of the ring then on the inside. If Taylor spoke up there would have been a real possibility that "Del Boy" would have assaulted him. At the very least a table would of been lifted up and tossed.

shit would've happened. chisora's just hyping up the fight, that's it. he's not a lunatic assaulting anybody and definitely not Taylor, why the heck would he?

my guess it just really annoyed him seeing his name lettered slightly smaller & less prominent positioned than "prograis vs. Taylor" on the event poster.

best moment was when he kept interrupting kokser kalle.

the last layer of sauerland's facial feature's expressions remotely resembling something human that he didn't snort to hell watching completely derail was fun.

CHISORA VS USYK next after he knocks out parker!

I agree that Parker v Chisora should be at least equal billing.

Equal to a unification and Ali trophy final :maybe:
Two guys who aren't even #1 contenders in anything other than being beaten by Whyte...

Come on man, don't Bogart the coolaid.

Kiwi, Parker v Chisora is being disrespected in comparison to Prograis v Taylor, obviously. :OhYes:

Oh, yeah everyone loves a heavy battle. Myself included.
Thing is, both Josh and Reggie have really entertained in their last 3-4 fights. Seeing them fight each other is intriguing. The build up based on actual fights, and not just talk makes this one something to look forward to.
