Well, maybe the show still goes on.
Yeah for me it's good cos I cant sell tickets and as you prob know that's what it's all about, I've tried to get fights in the away corner for a purse but not had any joy so this was a breath of fresh air not having to try and do tickets!leejonesjnr wrote: ↑29 Oct 2019, 12:30Well, maybe the show still goes on.
Is that a good earner for a BIBA 6 rounder?
Not sure mate, if it's down to tickets I'll probably be off the bill as I cant sell any
Yeah mate escpecially no having to sell tickets, be lucky if I could sell 15leejonesjnr wrote: ↑29 Oct 2019, 12:30Well, maybe the show still goes on.

I've no been told what the deals gonna be now mate
Gaz, you are 3-0 under BIBA not sure who youve fought really but why not turn over with the BBBoC? Any particular reason you go with BIBA rather than the BBBoC?gazwilson45 wrote: ↑29 Oct 2019, 13:03Not sure mate, if it's down to tickets I'll probably be off the bill as I cant sell any
I signed with Kieran Farrell a few yrs ago and went in front of the scottish area board to get my licence bit they declined because I was 34 at the time and hadn't boxed amateur for maybe 5 yrs, they didn't seem happy I was with an english manager too. Got the feeling if they thought I was gonna sell loads of tickets I'd have got it. I was wanting to be an away fighter.MasterG wrote: ↑29 Oct 2019, 14:26Gaz, you are 3-0 under BIBA not sure who youve fought really but why not turn over with the BBBoC? Alot of people knock BIBA but tbh they have given me a platform to box on and I'm thankfull for that, 2 out of my 3 fights have been against guys who either had bbbofc licences or boxed on bbbofc shows and I stopped both so I know where I stand now.MasterG wrote: ↑29 Oct 2019, 14:32fair enough.gazwilson45 wrote: ↑29 Oct 2019, 14:30

I know Lee Murtagh from Leeds decent lad. Lot of respect for that fella
Lee doesnt have any amateurs either, ive seen a few boxers training in his gym but not sure if he managers any BIBA boxers.Floyd the snake wrote: ↑29 Oct 2019, 14:47 Not sure Lee Murtagh has any BIBA lads now think he does more Reffing & sticks to promoting the unlicensed stuff .
I gave BIBA a chance until they let Lee Mc fight Danny Williams. That fight left a sour taste in my mouth to be honest. But im not a boxer so if they are doing good by you then fair do's.gazwilson45 wrote: ↑29 Oct 2019, 14:35Alot of people knock BIBA but tbh they have given me a platform to box on and I'm thankfull for that, 2 out of my 3 fights have been against guys who either had bbbofc licences or boxed on bbbofc shows and I stopped both so I know where I stand now.
It sure is good money in today's climate. Especially if you don't sell a ticketleejonesjnr wrote: ↑29 Oct 2019, 12:30Well, maybe the show still goes on.

I do wonder whether the death of Patrick day the other day was a bit of a factor. Maybe his family talked him out of it.

Perhaps. One would imagine that Gerald McClellan would be motivation enough to enjoy retirementjamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑29 Oct 2019, 16:54I do wonder whether the death of Patrick day the other day was a bit of a factor. Maybe his family talked him out of it.
