Ajaba team need to market him better. Fight is 3 dats away and still no interviews or clips on internet about his fight.

It's an easy fight just to see how he healed from his injury.
He will have a better opponent next and they'll market a bit more

Its not technically marketing, but Ajagba will get a major boost in TV exposure because his bout with Kiladze has just been elevated to co-feature status due to the postponment of the original co-feature Rigondeaux-Solis!! That means the prefight profiles/interviews will be seen by many more people than internet clips or videos.

Former champion Guillermo Rigondeaux was scheduled to take on Liborio Solis in the co-feature of the Harrison-Charlo rematch this Saturday on FOX, but that match has been postponed until a later date. In the new co-feature at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California, heavyweight Efe Ajagba (11-0, 9 KOs) takes on Iago Kiladze (26-4-1, 18 KOs) in a 10-rounder.

That exposure will be awesome, especially if Efe makes a statement knockout. Could be a bad time if he struggles or looks pedestrian.

How early KO ? Did you see last four opponents Iago Kilzade fought ? He went 5 round with HWs in top 10-20 ... give Ajagba some credit

Kiladze has taken some thorough beatings, I'd like to see him be a test for prospects at a bit lower of a level because it's just pure punishment for him vs the guys he's lost to, even when he scored the KD he was all over the place.

Efe has the offensive strength but seems a bit complacent at times with his head movement and general way in the ring. Almost a bit lazy. Maybe that's been in part due to how easy his fights have been for him , and perhaps this can serve as a lesson for him to keep the switch on better.

Stylistically, Ajggba tonight looked like has has regressed instead of progressed. He used to throw the straight right hand much more effectively. Last night he was bending at the elbow and throwing it crooked and missing a lot of right hand shots that could have gotten Kiladze out of there. He also has slipped defensively as well.

I've always admitted Efe is raw but I figured he would hone his skills under a world-class trainer like Shields but tonight he took a step back from his last fight vs Demirezen. Seeing him on the same day as fellow prospect Dubois shows Efe has not developed nearly as rapidly as Daniel has.

What a great fight. A huge credit for Kiladze for his heart. I was picking Ajagba to KO chinny Kiladze early and brutally, and it was close to that, but Kiladze started good with wobbling Efe. Then Iago was fighting back successfully after being knocked down. He caught Ajagba with a great counter, Efe looked badly hurt. Kiladze was even trying to fight back at the end of the fight, but still he was taking too much, his corner made the right thing. A one of the year's best fights.

All above Three fighters stock will go down the toilet, if Efe Ajagba demolish Iago Kiladze under 3 rounds.

Smart choose by trainer ronnie shields  :TU: :yay:
So if we’re applying the same logic you’ve used in this post, will you agree that Efe Ajagba’s stock has gone down, due to him struggling against Iago Kiladze?

Joyce, Kownacki and Hunter all enjoyed an easier ride against Kiladze than the bumpy journey Ajagba had to cope with.

And let’s not forget that Iago Kiladze was Joe Joyce's sixth opponent. Not only had the British prospect been competing in the pro ranks for only eleven months at the time of this fight, but he actually made his pro debut three months AFTER Efe Ajagba.

Iago Kiladze was only the first heavyweight opponent with a winning record that Michael Hunter had ever faced at heavyweight, after making the jump from cruiserweight.

In stark contrast, Iago Kiladze was Efe Ajagba's twelfth opponent (of a professional career spanning 2½ years) and is also vastly inferior to his previous three previous fighters that shared the ring with the unbeaten Nigerian prospect.

So Efe was dropped. I take it he’s not as good as we thought. The end.

That’s what some people think.

I don’t personally think that way, but Boxtune argued that Kownacki, Hunter and Joyce’s stock would drop if Ajagba stopped Kiladze quicker than they could.

So I was wondering if he was willing to apply the same thought process after Ajagba’s struggle against Kiladze.

After all, Joyce, Kownacki and Hunter all enjoyed an easier ride against Kiladze than the bumpy journey Ajagba had to cope with.

Many people apply double-standards and I wanted to ascertain whether this was another instance.

That wasn't the only problem of Efe in this fight. That wasn't some lucky punch or whatever. Ajagba was taking shots since the beginning, he wasn't too variable in the offence and critically lacked a killer instinct, finishing skills. Probably he overlooked Kiladze, anyway he now has a lot of things to work on.

A young prospect needs these types of fights. That’s how you learn. Simple. Doesn’t mean he’s not good, but he’s gonna learn from these mistakes. He and his team will watch this back.

He’ll kick himself for walking away when he could have finished Kiladze. Which led to his own KD.

I don’t really rate Efe as much as quite a few on this board. I think a number of guys on here are literally sat on Efe’s d+*k the way they talk about him.

Not saying I don’t think he’s good. He’s still learning. He’s getting and will get better.
